# Don Signature Crab (donsignaturecrab.com): full text > Published by Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, 39 Tyrwhitt Road, Singapore. Last updated: October 2026. No pork, no lard. Not Halal-certified. The crab soup is cooked with cooking wine. --- # DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup is a whole mud crab in a milky herbal broth with thick rice vermicelli, cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. As of October 2026 it costs $39.80 (Regular), $58.80 (Medium), $73.80 (Large), $88.80 (XL) or $128.80 (XL+). Order a day ahead online. It is not Halal-certified, and the broth contains cooking wine. ## What is Crab Bee Hoon Soup? Crab Bee Hoon Soup is the dish the kitchen describes as "the signature dish which started it all". It is a whole mud crab served in a milky herbal broth, with thick rice vermicelli (bee hoon), cooked at Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, 39 Tyrwhitt Road. The kitchen says every dish is prepared freshly. The crab arrives in its shell, so you crack it at the table. The soup and the laksa are the two crab dishes sold at the AMK Hub kiosk, as takeaway bowls. The rest of the crab menu is Tyrwhitt Road only. Read [where the crab is served](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/) before you travel. ## Sizes and prices Five sizes share one price ladder. The kitchen prints a crab weight band for the first four. It has not told us whether those bands are live weight or cooked weight, and it has not published a weight for XL+.

Prices as of October 2026, from the printed menu of 28 February 2026 and the kitchen's ordering system. Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax.

Choose the Regular for yourself, Medium or Large when you want more crab to work through, and XL or XL+ when the crab is the centre of a shared table. [Sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) explains the choice in more detail. ## What is in the bowl These are the statements the kitchen has made about the dish. - **Crab.** The kitchen says its crab dishes use thoroughly cleaned Sri Lankan mud crabs, delivered daily. - **Broth.** A milky herbal broth, which the kitchen calls DonChef's signature. It is cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Dang Gui (Angelica root). - **Noodles.** Thick rice vermicelli. - **Choices.** You can ask for no bee hoon, no coriander or no spring onion. We have not published the full stock recipe, and neither has the kitchen. [What is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/) separates what the kitchen says from what reviewers have reported. ## How to order it Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Pick the size at the ordering site, choose dine-in, pickup or delivery, and pay online at the time of ordering. For the three routes compared, see [how to order crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/order/). How to order this dish Takeaway outlets ## Dietary notes The soup contains shellfish. It is cooked with cooking wine. The kitchen is not Halal-certified by MUIS and does not claim that any product is Halal; it serves no pork and no lard. The full wording is on [the halal page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/). ## Where the dish comes from The kitchen says the crab dishes were first made as family cooking in the early 2000s, and went on the menu after customers asked for them. Chef Don Lim later cooked it at a Toa Payoh North coffee-shop stall, a chapter retold in [the crab bee hoon side of the Don Pie story](https://donpies.com/toa-payoh/crab-bee-hoon-story/). Today the soup is cooked at Tyrwhitt Road under the DonChef name. If you want to know how it sits beside the black pepper and laksa versions, start with [soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/). ## Questions people ask ### Is Crab Bee Hoon Soup enough for two people? The Regular is sold as a one-person portion. Some diners split it between two and add sides; we do not promise it feeds two. For a shared table, read sizes and portions. ### Can I have it without bee hoon, coriander or spring onion? Yes. The ordering system offers options for no bee hoon, no coriander and no spring onion on this dish. ### What is the $8.80 bee hoon and soup top-up? The ordering site lists a Bee Hoon and Soup add-on at $8.80: the herbal broth with plain bee hoon. Check the ordering site for the live price. ### Is the soup suitable for pregnant women or children? The kitchen's FAQ says some children and pregnant customers enjoy it, and advises asking your doctor or gynaecologist, because the soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs. Read Dang Gui in crab soup. ## Sources - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) - Ordering site FAQ, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) --- # Crab menu and prices URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The crab menu has five whole mud crab styles (soup, black pepper, laksa, cheese and chilli) priced Regular $39.80, Medium $58.80, Large $73.80, XL $88.80 and XL+ $128.80, three flower-crab sets from $58.80 to $88.80, and crab rice, omelette and crab cakes from $15.80. Prices are as of October 2026; check the ordering site.

Prices in Singapore dollars as of October 2026. The kitchen can change them, so check the ordering site before you go.

## How to read the card **Whole mud crab, bee hoon.** The five styles on the first card are priced by the size of the crab, and the price ladder is the same for each. A Regular is sold as a one-person portion. Cheese Crab Bee Hoon starts at Medium. The kitchen prints a crab weight band for Regular to XL, and says nothing yet about XL+ or whether the weights are live or cooked. See [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/). **Flower crab sets.** These are for sharing, they use flower crab, and they are priced as a set, not by size. Details are on [chilli crab, crab fried rice and more](https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/). **Seasonal items.** Golden Salted Egg Crab, Mother's Day sets and Yu Sheng have appeared as seasonal specials. We do not list them as standing menu items. ## Notes that apply to every dish - Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Seafood sets need three hours. - The Tyrwhitt Road flagship serves the full crab range. The AMK Hub kiosk serves the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon only. [Where the crab is served](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). - All crab dishes contain shellfish. Cheese Crab also contains dairy. The crab soup is cooked with cooking wine. The kitchen is not Halal-certified and serves no pork and no lard. - The kitchen's printed menu is a PDF at a.chickenpie.sg; the link is in the sources below. ## From the menu to the table Pick a dish from the card, then go to its page for the details: [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/), [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/), [Crab Laksa Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-laksa-bee-hoon/) or [Cheese Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/cheese-crab-bee-hoon/). When you are ready, the ordering site takes pre-orders for dine-in, pickup and delivery. Order on buy.chickenpie.sg How ordering works ## Questions people ask ### Is this the same menu as the printed one? Mostly. The prices for the five bee hoon styles and the rice and omelette dishes come from the kitchen's menu PDF dated 28 February 2026. The XL+ size and the flower-crab sets come from the kitchen's current ordering catalogue, read on 8 October 2026, and are not on that PDF. ### Are dine-in prices different? The printed menu says dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax. Check the ordering site for live figures. ## Sources - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) - Ordering site, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg) --- # Regular, Medium, Large or XL? Crab bee hoon sizes explained URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The kitchen sells whole-crab dishes in five sizes: Regular $39.80 (printed 350g to 400g), Medium $58.80 (500g to 550g), Large $73.80 (600g to 650g), XL $88.80 (700g to 800g) and XL+ $128.80 (weight not published). Prices are as of October 2026. The Regular is sold as a one-person portion. The kitchen has not said whether the weights are live or cooked. ## The size ladder Our whole-crab dishes come in five sizes. The same prices apply to the Crab Bee Hoon Soup, Black Pepper, Laksa and Chilli Crab. Cheese Crab Bee Hoon begins at Medium.

Prices as of October 2026. Weight bands are printed on the kitchen's menu of 28 February 2026. XL+ is from the kitchen's ordering system, read on 8 October 2026.

## What the numbers mean A Regular crab weighing 350g to 400g is a modest crab. Add the bee hoon and broth and you have a bowl for one person. A Medium crab is about half as heavy again, which is more crab to crack and more shell to discard. Large and XL are crabs you share, or crabs for a person who has come for the crab and plans to take their time. The ladder is not linear. From Regular to Medium the price rises by $19.00, from Medium to Large by $15.00, from Large to XL by $15.00, and from XL to XL+ by $40.00. The kitchen has not published how it sets the steps, so we do not explain them. ## Live weight, cooked weight, and what we do not know Crab weights can mean two different things. Live weight is the crab before cooking and includes the shell, which makes up most of it. Cooked weight is lower. The kitchen has printed weight bands for Regular to XL but has not said which kind they are. For comparison, 8 Crabs, a delivery business, prints both figures for its crabs, and its page shows the cooked weight at about 60 per cent of the live weight (400g to 500g live, 240g to 300g cooked). We are not saying our crabs follow that ratio. We are saying that without a live or cooked label, our printed weights should not be read as meat weight. If the kitchen confirms which one it prints, we will update this page. We also have no printed weight for XL+. It appears in the ordering system at $128.80 and is the largest size. An earlier top size, called XXL, was listed in 2022 at $108.80 and described as about 1.3kg by one writer. We do not know whether XL+ is the same crab under a new name, so we do not claim that. ## Which size should I order? - **One person, one dish:** Regular. - **One person who wants leftovers of shell to crack, or two people sharing with sides:** Medium. Add crab fried rice or crab cakes from [the other dishes](https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/). - **Two to three people:** Large or XL for one crab, or one of the flower-crab sets, which are priced by the set and serve two to four. - **A table that wants one grand crab:** XL or XL+, ordered a day ahead. Reviewers have reported splitting a Regular between two people. We repeat that as a report, not a promise. ## Whole crab or flower crab? The flower-crab sets include scallops, clams or prawns as well as crab, and they are priced for sharing: $68.80 for two to three people, $88.80 for three to four. A whole mud crab is a single, larger animal. If you want one big crab, order by size. If you want variety, order a set. Details are on [the other crab dishes page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/). ## Ordering by size Choose the size at the ordering site. Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. To see the size and price for the signature dish alone, go to [DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/), or open the [full menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). ## Questions people ask ### Is a Regular crab bee hoon enough for two? The Regular is sold as a one-person portion. Some diners have said they shared one between two. We would not plan on it for two hungry adults; add a side, or step up to Medium. ### What does XL+ weigh? The kitchen has not published a weight for XL+. The ordering system lists it at $128.80 as the top size. Ask the hotline if the weight matters to you. ### Are the weights live weight or cooked weight? The kitchen has not said. One delivery competitor, 8 Crabs, prints both live and cooked weights for its crabs (for example, 400g to 500g live is 240g to 300g cooked), which shows how large the gap can be. Until the kitchen confirms, treat our printed bands as the kitchen's figures, not as a promise of meat weight. ### What is the cheapest way to try the crab? The Regular Crab Bee Hoon Soup at $39.80 as of October 2026. If you also want the herbal broth for more people, the ordering site lists a Bee Hoon and Soup add-on at $8.80. ## Sources - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026, printed weight bands (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) - 8 Crabs product page, live and cooked weights (modified 2 Jul 2026) (https://www.8crabs.com/shop/signature-crab-bee-hoon-soup/) --- # What is in the soup: mud crab, Dang Gui, cooking wine URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The kitchen says the crab bee hoon soup uses Sri Lankan mud crab in a milky herbal broth cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Dang Gui (Angelica root), with thick rice vermicelli. The full stock recipe is not published. Reviewers have reported other ingredients, which we list separately and attribute. It contains shellfish and is not Halal-certified. ## What the kitchen says This is the list of statements we can attribute to the kitchen's own pages, as of October 2026. | Part of the dish | What the kitchen says | |---|---| | Crab | Thoroughly cleaned Sri Lankan mud crabs, delivered to the kitchen daily. | | Broth | A milky, herbal broth, which the kitchen calls DonChef's signature. | | Herbs and flavouring | Cooking wine, and herbs such as ginger, yam and Angelica root, which is commonly known as Dang Gui. | | Noodles | Thick rice vermicelli. | | Options | No bee hoon, no coriander, no spring onion. | | What is not used | No pork and no lard, anywhere in the kitchen's outlets. | That is all the kitchen has published. It has not given a stock recipe, a vegetable list or the exact proportions. ## What reviewers have reported Four food writers described the soup between December 2022 and May 2023. Three of the posts were written in partnership with, or hosted by, the kitchen, and we mark each one. These are the writers' reports, not statements by the kitchen, and we have not been able to confirm them. - **Miss Tam Chiak (21 December 2022, hosted by the kitchen)** described a soup base powder of about nine ingredients, including sole fish, ikan bilis and dried shrimp, with slivers of Dang Gui and fried ginger added with crab, yam sticks and bee hoon. It also said only Sri Lankan and Indian mud crabs are used and that quantities are limited daily. - **SethLui (16 December 2022, partnership post)** wrote of daily air-flown Sri Lankan crab and a broth with Dang Gui and ginger, served with fried yam slices, vegetables and thick bee hoon. - **ieatishootipost (20 April 2023, partnership post)** reported a umami powder made from roasted, ground dried seafood, and Dang Gui and ginger used to balance the cooling nature of crab. - **Eatbook (10 May 2023, editorial list)** said the broth has a splash of Shaoxing Chinese white wine, Dang Gui and a hint of ginger, topped with milk cabbage, yam and evaporated milk. Where reports differ from the kitchen's statements, we use the kitchen's. On crab origin, for instance, the kitchen's home page says Sri Lankan, while one reviewer said Sri Lankan and Indian. We use "Sri Lankan" and attribute it to the kitchen. ## What the kitchen has not disclosed - The complete stock ingredients. - Whether evaporated milk is used. - The vegetable list. - Whether the crab is female or male, and whether roe is guaranteed. - A complete allergen list for the soup. We list these so that you know where the edges of our knowledge are. When the kitchen publishes any of them, this page will change. ## Dietary and allergen notes - The dishes contain **shellfish**. - The soup is **cooked with cooking wine**, and the Tyrwhitt Road flagship serves alcohol. - The kitchen serves **no pork and no lard**, but Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is not Halal-certified by MUIS, and we do not claim that any of our products are Halal. Read [is it halal](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/). - The Cheese Crab Bee Hoon also contains dairy. ## One herb in detail Dang Gui is the herb most readers ask about. The kitchen's own product page calls it "a type of ginseng", while its menu and FAQ call it Angelica root, which is the more accurate term. We use "Dang Gui (Angelica root)" and make no health claims. [Dang Gui in crab soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/dang-gui-in-crab-soup/) covers what the kitchen says about children and pregnancy. For the crab itself, see [Sri Lankan mud crab](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sri-lankan-mud-crab/), and for the finished dish [DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). ## Questions people ask ### Does the soup contain evaporated milk? The kitchen has not said. Eatbook reported in May 2023 that the dish is topped with milk cabbage, yam and evaporated milk, but that is a reviewer's report, not our statement. ### Does the soup contain alcohol? It is cooked with cooking wine. The kitchen's own FAQ says so. Eatbook reported Shaoxing Chinese white wine. See the halal page for the full wording. ### Is there pork or lard in the soup? No. The kitchen says it does not serve pork or lard in any of its outlets. ### What allergens should I know about? The dishes contain shellfish. The soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs. The kitchen has not published a full allergen list for the soup beyond that, so ask the hotline if you have an allergy. ## Sources - Ordering site FAQ (cooking wine, ginger, yam, Angelica root) (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) - Kitchen home page (Sri Lankan mud crabs delivered daily) (https://chickenpie.sg/) - Miss Tam Chiak, 21 Dec 2022 (hosted by the kitchen) (https://www.misstamchiak.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab/) - SethLui, 16 Dec 2022 (partnership post) (https://sethlui.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab-singapore/) - ieatishootipost, 20 Apr 2023 (partnership post) (https://ieatishootipost.sg/chicken-pie-kitchen-dons-signature-crab-bee-hoon-the-don-is-back/) - Eatbook, 10 May 2023 (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) --- # Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon, stir-fried dry URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** DonChef's Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon is a whole mud crab on bee hoon in a rich, aromatic gravy made with freshly ground black pepper, and the kitchen says it is stir-fried dry, not served in soup. As of October 2026 it costs $39.80 (Regular) up to $128.80 (XL+). There is an extra strong option. It is cooked at Tyrwhitt Road only. ## What is Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon? Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon is DonChef's take on a classic Singapore crab dish. The kitchen's own description calls it a "bold twist": a whole mud crab and bee hoon in a rich, aromatic gravy cooked with freshly ground premium black pepper. It is the dry counterpart to the herbal [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). Where the soup is about a milky broth you sip, this one is about a peppery gravy that clings to the noodles. The kitchen says it stir-fries this version dry, and its product page contrasts it with other black pepper crabs on that point. We cannot judge other restaurants' recipes, so we say only what the kitchen states about its own. ## Sizes and prices The black pepper version uses the same five-step price ladder as the soup.

Prices as of October 2026. Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax. The kitchen prints crab weight bands but has not said whether they are live or cooked weight.

## Options The ordering system offers an extra spicy option on this dish, and the kitchen's wording mentions an extra strong choice. Because black pepper heat is a matter of taste, ask for the stronger version only if you like a pepper that lingers. You can also pair the crab with the plain herbal broth: the ordering site lists a Bee Hoon and Soup add-on at $8.80, which pairs a bowl of the signature broth with plain bee hoon. ## How to eat it A dry crab bee hoon is a hands-on dish. Crack the claws first, pull the meat out with the shell cracker or your fingers, then toss the bee hoon in the pan juices and gravy left on the plate. The photograph on this page shows a metal cracker beside the plate. If you want a cracker of your own, the kitchen sells a limited edition metal crab cracker for $5.80; read [how to eat crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-eat-crab-bee-hoon/) for the full order of attack. ## Soup or dry? If you cannot decide, [soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/) explains the difference in plain terms. In short: the soup is the kitchen's signature and is lighter on the palate, while the black pepper dish is saucier and stronger. Both are whole mud crab, and both share the same sizes. ## Order it Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. The dish contains shellfish. The kitchen is not Halal-certified and serves no pork and no lard; the halal wording is on [the halal page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/). How to order this dish Hours and directions ## Questions people ask ### Is the black pepper crab a soup or dry? Dry. The kitchen's product page says that, unlike other black pepper crabs, this one is stir-fried dry. If you want a soup, order the Crab Bee Hoon Soup. ### How spicy is it? The ordering system lists an extra spicy option for this dish, and the catalogue wording mentions an extra strong option. The kitchen has not published a heat rating, so ask the hotline if you are unsure. ### Is the Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon sold at AMK Hub? No. The AMK Hub kiosk carries only the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon is cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. ## Sources - Kitchen product page, Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon (Regular) (https://chickenpie.sg/product/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon-regular-by-chef-don-lim/) - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) --- # Crab Laksa Bee Hoon, rich broth, whole crab URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-laksa-bee-hoon/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Crab Laksa Bee Hoon is a whole mud crab and smooth bee hoon in a laksa broth blended with fresh herbs and spices. As of October 2026 it costs $39.80 (Regular), $58.80 (Medium), $73.80 (Large), $88.80 (XL) or $128.80 (XL+). It is one of only two crab dishes sold at the AMK Hub kiosk, alongside the Crab Bee Hoon Soup. ## What is Crab Laksa Bee Hoon? Crab Laksa Bee Hoon puts the kitchen's whole mud crab into a laksa broth. The ordering site describes it as "a luxurious laksa broth blended with fresh herbs and spices", and the kitchen's product page adds that it is the signature crab bee hoon "gone laksa": a rich, spicy-fragrant broth with crab and smooth bee hoon, for the days the original feels too gentle. That makes it the second soup-style crab dish on the menu. If you like the idea of the crab but want more spice and a broth you can taste from the first spoonful, this is the dish to read about. If you prefer a lighter, herbal broth, start with the [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). ## Sizes and prices Crab Laksa Bee Hoon uses the same price ladder as the other whole-crab dishes.

Prices as of October 2026. Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax. Weight bands are the kitchen's printed figures; it has not said whether they are live or cooked weight.

## Two options and two outlets The ordering system lists **extra spicy** and **extra strong** for this dish. We would read "strong" as a more concentrated broth, but the kitchen has not defined it in print, so confirm with the hotline if it matters to you. The dish is sold at two places: - **39 Tyrwhitt Road**, the flagship, for dine-in, takeaway and pre-orders. - **AMK Hub, #B2-44**, as takeaway only. The kiosk has no official seating area. It sells this laksa and the signature soup, and no other crab dishes. ## What to expect from a laksa crab bee hoon Laksa is a spiced coconut-style noodle soup, and a laksa broth is richer and spicier than the clear, herbal style. The kitchen has not published the broth recipe, whether it uses coconut milk or which spices go into it, and we do not guess. What the kitchen does say is that the broth is blended with fresh herbs and spices, and that the bee hoon is smooth. Because the broth is strongly flavoured, the dish suits people who like to drink the soup down to the last spoon. Spice-averse diners may prefer the signature soup or the stir-fried [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/). ## Order it Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. The dish contains shellfish. The kitchen is not Halal-certified and serves no pork and no lard. How to order this dish AMK Hub kiosk ## Questions people ask ### Can I get Crab Laksa Bee Hoon at AMK Hub? Yes, as takeaway. The AMK Hub kiosk at #B2-44 carries a limited crab range: Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. Read crab bee hoon at AMK Hub for hours and the WhatsApp number. ### Can I make it spicier or stronger? The ordering system lists two options for this dish: extra spicy and extra strong. ### How is it different from the soup? The kitchen's product page says the laksa is its signature crab bee hoon gone laksa, for the days the original feels too gentle. The base is a spiced laksa broth instead of the milky herbal Dang Gui broth. ## Sources - Kitchen product page, Crab Laksa Bee Hoon (Regular) (https://chickenpie.sg/product/crab-laksa-bee-hoon-regular/) - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) --- # Cheese Crab Bee Hoon, Medium size and above URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/cheese-crab-bee-hoon/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Cheese Crab Bee Hoon is a whole mud crab with bee hoon in a cheese sauce, and it is sold only in Medium size and above. As of October 2026 it costs $58.80 (Medium), $73.80 (Large), $88.80 (XL) or $128.80 (XL+). There is no Regular size. The dish contains dairy as well as shellfish and is cooked at Tyrwhitt Road. ## What is Cheese Crab Bee Hoon? Cheese Crab Bee Hoon is the richest dish in our whole-crab range. The kitchen describes it as "sinful, cheesy goodness, beautifully paired with crab": a mud crab and bee hoon in a cheese sauce. It sits beside the herbal soup, the dry black pepper and the laksa as one of the five bee hoon and crab styles. One rule sets it apart. The kitchen says it is available only in Medium size and above. That is a practical limit on the dish: the cheese sauce is built for a bowl big enough to carry it. ## Sizes and prices The ladder below starts at Medium. The Regular step is marked as not offered.

Prices as of October 2026. Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax.

## A correction: it is not "from $39.80" A June 2026 round-up on HungryGoWhere listed the kitchen's cheese crab bee hoon as "from S$39.80". We think the writer merged the kitchen's price ladder, because $39.80 is the Regular price of the other dishes. The kitchen's own product page lists Cheese Crab Bee Hoon at $58.80 for the Medium and says Medium is the smallest size. If you see $39.80 attached to the cheese crab, it is out of date or wrong. We have asked nobody to change anything; we are simply stating our own price. ## What reviewers have said We cite one dated reviewer comment, and we label it for what it is. In April 2023 the blog ieatishootipost wrote about the Cheese Crab Bee Hoon (then priced at $53.80 for the Medium) in a post written in partnership with the kitchen. The post described it as very rich and meant for sharing. That is one writer's view from three years ago, from a partnership post, so treat it as one data point rather than a verdict. Our own advice is practical: the cheese sauce is heavy, so share a Medium or Large between two, and order a lighter dish such as the [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/) for contrast. If the group has a dairy allergy, choose another style. ## Dietary notes The dish contains dairy and shellfish. The kitchen is not Halal-certified by MUIS, and it serves no pork and no lard. [The halal page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/) has the full wording. ## Order it Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Pick the Medium or a larger size at the ordering site. How to order this dish Choose a size ## Questions people ask ### Is there a Regular Cheese Crab Bee Hoon at $39.80? No. The kitchen says it is available only in Medium size and above, so the lowest price is $58.80. A June 2026 round-up printed a cheese crab price of 'from S$39.80'; the kitchen's own menu does not support that. ### Does it contain dairy? Yes. Cheese Crab Bee Hoon contains dairy as well as shellfish. ### Is it served at AMK Hub? No. The AMK Hub kiosk carries only the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. Cheese Crab is cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. ## Sources - Kitchen product page, Cheese Crab Bee Hoon (Medium) (https://chickenpie.sg/product/cheese-crab-bee-hoon-medium-by-chef-don-lim/) - ieatishootipost, The Don is back (20 Apr 2023) (https://ieatishootipost.sg/chicken-pie-kitchen-dons-signature-crab-bee-hoon-the-don-is-back/) - HungryGoWhere, 12 spots for crab bee hoon (1 Jun 2026, modified 11 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) --- # Chilli Crab, crab fried rice, crab cakes and the seafood sets URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Beyond the five bee hoon styles, the crab menu includes Chilli Crab (from $39.80), Crab Meat Fried Rice ($16.80), Egg Omelette with Hokkaido Crab Meat ($21.80), Homemade Hokkaido Crab Cakes ($15.80) and flower-crab seafood sets for two to four people ($58.80 to $88.80). Prices are as of October 2026. Seasonal specials come and go. ## Chilli Crab The kitchen describes its Chilli Crab as "a blend of sweet, spicy, and savory elements, known for its bold and fiery flavours". It is a whole mud crab in the chilli gravy, with an optional mantou add-on for mopping up the sauce and an extra spicy option. It uses the same size ladder as the bee hoon dishes.

Prices as of October 2026. Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax.

The chilli crab is cooked at Tyrwhitt Road only. [Soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/) explains why a bowl of gravy and a bowl of soup feel so different to eat. ## Seafood sets The flower-crab sets are built for sharing and use smaller crabs, so they cost less than a large whole mud crab. They need three hours' notice, not a day. | Set | Price | Serves | What is in it | |---|---|---|---| | Luxurious Seafood Bee Hoon | $68.80 | 2 to 3 | Scallops, clams, prawns and sweet flower crab. Choose Rich Laksa Broth, Savoury Seafood Gravy or Black Pepper Sauce, and thin or thick bee hoon. | | The Flounder's Crabby Choice | $88.80 | 3 to 4 | Broth brewed with dried flounder, Dang Gui and sweet yam; scallops, prawns, a pair of flower crab, thick bee hoon. | | Festive Seasonal Crab | $58.80 | 2 to 3 | Seasonal flower crab. A seasonal item, so it is not always on the menu. | ## Rice and small plates These are the dishes to add when the table is bigger than the crab. - **Crab Meat Fried Rice**, $16.80: Hokkaido crab meat and Akita rice. With omelette, $22.80. - **Egg Omelette with Hokkaido Crab Meat**, $21.80. - **Homemade Hokkaido Crab Cakes**, $15.80, served with garlic mayo and chilli sauce. - **Hokkaido Seafood Fried Rice**, $28.80: scallops, prawns, crab meat and furikake. It serves one. - **Limited Edition Metal Crab Cracker**, $5.80, a metal cracker for the shell. See [how to eat crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-eat-crab-bee-hoon/). ## Seasonal specials the kitchen has run Some dishes appear for a season and then leave. We list them so that you can recognise old photos and listings. None of these is available as a standing item, and none is promised again. - **Golden Salted Egg Crab**, a National Day special: a whole mud crab wok-tossed in a dry-style salted egg yolk gravy with curry leaves and a hint of chilli padi. The product page gave 1 to 16 August 2026, at $68.80 for the Medium, and the ordering system lists Medium, Large ($88.80) and XL ($108.80). - **Mother's Day sets.** In 2025 the kitchen ran steamed crab on glutinous rice in a pink cast-iron pot ($288) and five-course and nine-course menus. In 2026 it ran a Signature Experience built around an XL+ whole crab in Chilli or Ginger and Scallion style. - **Galloping Prosperity Yu Sheng**, $48.80, for Chinese New Year, made with crab stick. The kitchen's news and seasonal drops are collected at [the club's news and seasonal pages](https://donpieclub.sg/). ## Order Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Seafood sets need three hours. All of these dishes contain shellfish; the kitchen is not Halal-certified and serves no pork and no lard. Order on buy.chickenpie.sg Full menu and prices ## Questions people ask ### Is Golden Salted Egg Crab on the menu now? No. It was a seasonal National Day special. The product page gave 1 to 16 August 2026 as the dates, so treat it as not currently available. ### How far ahead do the seafood sets need ordering? Three hours, according to the ordering system. Whole-crab dishes need a day. Read how to order. ### Is the Chilli Crab served with bread? The ordering site lists mantou (fried or steamed Chinese buns) as an optional add-on. ## Sources - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) - Kitchen product page, Chilli Crab (https://chickenpie.sg/product/chilli-crab-by-donchef/) - Kitchen product page, Golden Salted Egg Crab (https://chickenpie.sg/product/golden-salted-egg-crab-by-donchef/) --- # How to order crab bee hoon: dine-in, pickup, delivery URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/order/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Pre-order online at buy.chickenpie.sg at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Seafood sets need three hours. You can dine in at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, collect from Tyrwhitt Road or the AMK Hub kiosk, or have it delivered by third-party drivers. Payment is online, at the time of ordering. ## The three routes | | Dine-in | Pickup | Delivery | |---|---|---|---| | Where | 39 Tyrwhitt Road, Jalan Besar | Tyrwhitt Road (full range) or AMK Hub (Soup and Laksa only) | To your address, islandwide | | Notice for whole crab | A day ahead, online; walk-ins subject to the day's crab | A day ahead, online | A day ahead, online | | Notice for seafood sets | Three hours | Three hours | Three hours | | Payment | Service charge and prevailing tax apply | Online at ordering | Online at ordering | | What we recommend | Reserve a table on busy days | The most reliable route for hot soup | Use it with extra lead time | ## Step by step 1. **Choose your dish and size** on the [menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). The five whole-crab styles share one price ladder; [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) helps you choose. 2. **Open the ordering site**, pick Pickup or Delivery, then pick an outlet. Crab prices and slots appear after you choose an outlet. The Tyrwhitt Road flagship offers the full menu; the kiosks carry a curated takeaway selection. 3. **Order at least a day ahead** for whole-crab dishes. The seafood sets need three hours. 4. **Pay when you order.** Advance orders are paid at the point of ordering. 5. **Collect or receive** your food, and eat it the same day. The Singapore Food Agency's recommendation, which the kitchen repeats, is to consume cooked food within four hours of purchase.

Rules as of October 2026, from the kitchen's ordering site. They can change; the ordering site is the final word.

## Why a day ahead? Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. The kitchen says its mud crabs are delivered daily, and one reviewer reported in December 2022 that quantities are limited each day. A day's notice lets the kitchen set your crab aside. The seafood sets use flower crab and need three hours. ## Rules to know before you pay - No changes or cancellations after confirmation. - No refund or replacement if you miss your order. - Contact the kitchen within two hours of collection if something is wrong with preparation or quality. - Delivery to some locations (Sentosa, Tuas, Changi Airport, Lim Chu Kang, the CBD, and malls or offices that charge for parking or have no direct lift access) may carry extra surcharges. [Delivery has its own page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/). - You cannot pick an exact delivery time. If timing matters, choose pickup and, if you like, arrange your own driver. ## Group orders For big tables, the VIP room, or corporate and charity requests, read [group dining](https://donsignaturecrab.com/groups-and-vip-room/). Email addresses are listed there. Open the ordering site Call 6993 3333 If you are adding pies to the same order, donpieshop.com has [a step-by-step walk-through of ordering from Don Pie](https://donpieshop.com/order-from-don-pie/) on the same ordering site. ## Questions people ask ### Can I walk in and order crab at the counter? You can try. Walk-ins are subject to availability and waiting time, and same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Pre-ordering a day ahead is the safe route. For a table on a weekend, see reservations. ### Can I change or cancel an order? Not after confirmation. The kitchen says there are no changes or cancellations after confirmation, and no refund or replacement if you miss your order. If there is an issue with preparation or quality, contact the kitchen within two hours at hello@chickenpie.sg. ### How do I pay? Online orders on the ordering site take credit cards. For pickup you can pay by PayNow or bank transfer if you WhatsApp the outlet. For all advance orders, payment is made at the point of ordering. ### Is there a minimum order for crab? We have not found a published minimum order for crab dishes. Check the ordering site when you build your basket. ## Sources - Ordering site, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg) - Ordering site FAQ (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) --- # Crab bee hoon delivery in Singapore: what to know first URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Delivery is handled by third-party drivers (Grab, Lalamove, GoGoX and others) on non-guaranteed time slots, with a fee based on distance and extra surcharges for some locations. Order whole-crab dishes a day ahead. The ordering site recommends pickup because delivery times can vary, and the kitchen has not published reheating instructions for the crab soup. ## What delivery means here Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab delivers across Singapore, but the delivery itself is carried out by third-party drivers such as Grab, Lalamove and GoGoX. The ordering site says these deliveries run on a non-guaranteed timeslot basis, so extra lead time may be needed, and it strongly recommends picking up your order instead. That recommendation matters more for crab soup than for most food. A bowl of soup with a whole crab in it loses heat quickly and can slosh in transit, and the broth is meant to be served piping hot. We would rather say so plainly than promise otherwise. For a hot soup, the route we suggest is [pickup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-takeaway/). ## The rules, in short - **Notice.** Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. The flower-crab seafood sets need three hours. - **Fee.** Based on distance. Festive periods and certain locations add surcharges. The ordering site shows the figure for your address. - **Surcharge locations.** The kitchen lists Sentosa, Tuas, Changi Airport, Lim Chu Kang, the CBD, and malls and offices that charge for parking or have no direct lift access. - **Floors above ground.** Addresses above ground need lift access. - **Time.** You cannot pick an exact delivery time. - **Payment.** At the time of ordering, on the ordering site. - **After you order.** No changes or cancellations after confirmation, and no refund or replacement if you miss the delivery.

As of October 2026, from the kitchen's ordering site and FAQ. Delivery terms elsewhere on the kitchen's pages differ, so we only repeat these.

## What we cannot tell you yet Two things are not published, and we will not guess. 1. **Whether every crab dish is offered for delivery**, as opposed to pickup. The ordering site shows crab dishes only after you choose an outlet, so check the basket for your address. 2. **How to reheat crab soup at home.** The kitchen has published reheating advice for its pies, not for the soup. We have listed this as a question for the kitchen. ## If you reheat it anyway The kitchen's own advice is to eat on the day of purchase, within four hours, as the Singapore Food Agency recommends. If a delivery arrives lukewarm, bring the broth to a gentle simmer in a pot, add the crab and bee hoon just long enough to warm through, and serve it hot. Do not keep cooked crab for later, and do not reheat the same soup twice. These are standard food-safety practices, not the kitchen's instructions. If you are ordering pies in the same delivery, the reheating principles on [how to reheat a chicken pie](https://donchickenpie.com/how-to-reheat-chicken-pie/) apply to the pies, not the soup. For more on getting pies delivered, [pickup versus delivery for pies in Singapore](https://donpieshop.com/pickup-vs-delivery/) compares the options. ## Order Order on buy.chickenpie.sg All three ways to order You can also WhatsApp or call the kitchen on 6993 3333 before you order. For hours and the address, see [hours and directions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/), and for what is on the menu, [menu and prices](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). ## Questions people ask ### How much is the delivery fee? It is based on distance, with surcharges at festive periods and for some locations. We do not quote a flat fee or a free-delivery threshold for crab, because the kitchen's pages do not agree on one. The ordering site shows the live fee. ### Can I choose a delivery time? Not an exact one. The kitchen's FAQ says you cannot choose an exact delivery time. If timing matters, choose pickup, and arrange your own driver if you wish. ### Can I order crab by GrabFood or Foodpanda? The kitchen's product pages mention partner platforms for immediate delivery, picking the nearest outlet. Which crab dishes appear there, and at what price, we have not been able to confirm. The AMK Hub kiosk's crab is the Soup and Laksa only. ### How do I reheat crab soup at home? The kitchen has not published reheating instructions for the crab soup. The kitchen says to consume products on the day of purchase, within four hours as recommended by the Singapore Food Agency. If you must reheat, bring it gently to a simmer and serve it piping hot; see the cautions below. ## Sources - Ordering site banner on delivery, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg) - Ordering site FAQ (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) --- # Takeaway crab bee hoon at Tyrwhitt Road and AMK Hub URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-takeaway/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Crab bee hoon is available for takeaway at two outlets. The Tyrwhitt Road flagship offers the full crab range, and the AMK Hub kiosk (#B2-44) offers only Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. The Wisma Atria, Tiong Bahru Plaza and White Sands kiosks are pie kiosks with no crab. Order a day ahead for whole-crab dishes. ## Where you can collect crab Crab is cooked in one kitchen, at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, and the AMK Hub kiosk carries a short crab menu. The three other kiosks are pie kiosks. The ordering site shows a crab icon beside the Tyrwhitt Road flagship and AMK Hub only. On the pickup screen it also says that the Tyrwhitt Road flagship offers the full menu with dine-in seating, while the kiosks carry a curated takeaway selection. ## How to collect 1. Open [the ordering site](https://buy.chickenpie.sg), choose **Pickup**, then choose Tyrwhitt Road or AMK Hub. 2. Order at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Seafood sets need three hours. 3. Pay at ordering. If you prefer PayNow or bank transfer, WhatsApp the outlet to arrange it. 4. Collect at the outlet at your chosen time and eat the food on the day of purchase. The WhatsApp numbers listed on the kitchen's contact page are 6993 3333 for Tyrwhitt Road and 8040 6639 for AMK Hub. The hotline is the same 6993 3333. ## What the kitchen sells as extras The ordering site lists a few extras that matter if you are carrying soup: empty boxes at $1.80, an extra takeaway container at $0.80, disposable cutlery at $1.00, and a cooler or warmer bag at $5.80. There is also a limited edition metal crab cracker at $5.80 and a Bee Hoon and Soup add-on at $8.80. All prices are as of October 2026. ## Carrying soup home Crab soup is a wet dish. Keep the container upright, ask for the broth to be packed securely, and plan the trip home so that the soup does not sit for long. The kitchen says to consume its products on the day of purchase, within four hours as recommended by the Singapore Food Agency. If your trip is long, a warmer bag helps with heat but does not change the four-hour guidance. ## Takeaway, delivery or dine-in? If you are within reach of Tyrwhitt Road or AMK Hub (donpieshop.com has [a buyer's guide to the AMK Hub kiosk](https://donpieshop.com/don-pie-shop/amk-hub/)), takeaway is the surest way to get a hot bowl, and the ordering site recommends pickup over delivery. If you would rather not travel, read [crab bee hoon delivery](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/). If you want crab and a table, read [reservations](https://donsignaturecrab.com/reservations/). For all three routes side by side, see [how to order](https://donsignaturecrab.com/order/). Order pickup AMK Hub details ## Questions people ask ### Which kiosks sell crab? Only the AMK Hub kiosk, and only the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. The Wisma Atria, Tiong Bahru Plaza and White Sands kiosks sell pies and no crab. ### Can I pay by PayNow when I collect? For pickup, the kitchen says you can pay by PayNow or bank transfer if you WhatsApp the outlet. Online orders on the ordering site take credit cards, and payment for advance orders is made at ordering. ### Can I sit and eat at AMK Hub? The kiosk is takeaway only and has no official seating area. ### What do I get with takeaway? These prices are as of October 2026. ## Sources - Ordering site, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg) - Kitchen contact page (https://chickenpie.sg/contact-us/) --- # Reserve a table for crab bee hoon at Tyrwhitt Road URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/reservations/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Book a table at 39 Tyrwhitt Road through the kitchen's SevenRooms page, which has pet and non-pet options. Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays may need a small deposit. A reservation holds the table, not the crab, so pre-order whole-crab dishes online at least a day ahead; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. ## How to book The Tyrwhitt Road flagship takes table reservations through SevenRooms. The kitchen provides two booking variants, one for pet tables and one for non-pet tables. Book a table Pre-order your crab You can also WhatsApp or call the hotline on 6993 3333. A short WhatsApp message is useful if you want to confirm a crab size or ask about a seating need. ## A reservation holds the table, not the crab This is the point diners most often miss. Booking a table does not set aside a crab. The kitchen says its crabs are delivered fresh each day, and the dishes need a day's notice when ordered online. Pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. So the full sequence is: 1. Book the table with the SevenRooms link. 2. Pre-order your crab dishes and size on [the ordering site](https://donsignaturecrab.com/order/), choosing the dine-in option where it is offered. 3. Arrive on time. The flagship's last orders are at 8.30pm on Sunday to Thursday, and at 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays and public holiday eves, "or earlier if sold out". See [hours and directions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). ## Deposits and weekend bookings Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday bookings have needed a small deposit, according to the kitchen's earlier menu page. The booking page shows the current rule and the amount, so rely on that. ## Pet and non-pet tables The flagship is pet-friendly indoors. The booking page lets you choose a table for diners with a pet or one without. We cover what the kitchen has said in [pet-friendly crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/pet-friendly/). ## Groups For a larger party, the VIP room seats up to 14, and it is pet-friendly. See [group dining and the VIP room](https://donsignaturecrab.com/groups-and-vip-room/) for how to book it and how to size the order. ## If you cannot book If the table you want is full, [takeaway](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-takeaway/) is available from Tyrwhitt Road, and the Soup and Laksa are available from AMK Hub. Both need a day's notice for whole-crab dishes when you order online. ## Questions people ask ### Do I need a deposit? The kitchen's earlier menu page said Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday bookings need a small deposit. Check the booking page for the current rule. ### Can I bring my dog? Yes, at the flagship, which is pet-friendly indoors. The booking page has pet and non-pet options. Read pet-friendly dining for the details we can confirm. ### Can I walk in? Walk-ins are subject to availability and waiting time. On busy days, and when you want a particular crab, reserve and pre-order. ### Is there a daily limit on crab? The kitchen has not published a limit. It says live crab is delivered daily. In December 2022 one reviewer wrote that quantities are limited each day, so we treat pre-ordering as sensible. ## Sources - Kitchen contact page (https://chickenpie.sg/contact-us/) - Miss Tam Chiak, 21 Dec 2022 (hosted by the kitchen) (https://www.misstamchiak.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab/) --- # 39 Tyrwhitt Road: hours, parking, MRT directions URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, Singapore 207538. Black pepper, cheese and chilli crab are cooked only at Tyrwhitt Road. ## What the AMK Hub kiosk offers The AMK Hub kiosk is one of four takeaway kiosks the kitchen runs, and it is the only one that sells crab. As of October 2026, its crab range is limited to two dishes: the [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/) and the [Crab Laksa Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-laksa-bee-hoon/). It also sells the kitchen's pies. ## Kiosk details | | | |---|---| | Address | #B2-44, AMK Hub, 53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, Singapore 569933 | | Where inside | Basement 2, next to the NTUC FairPrice Xtra entrance | | Hours | Daily, 10am to 9pm | | WhatsApp | 8040 6639 | | Seating | None official; takeaway only | | Crab menu | Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon | Hours and details are as of October 2026, from the kitchen's contact page. Check before you go. ## Prices for the two dishes The kiosk uses the same price ladder as the restaurant: Regular $39.80, Medium $58.80, Large $73.80, XL $88.80 and XL+ $128.80 as of October 2026. Whole-crab dishes need a day's notice when ordered online; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. If you want a size, order ahead on [the ordering site](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-takeaway/) and choose AMK Hub as the pickup outlet. ## Soup or laksa? Pick the soup for the milky herbal broth the kitchen calls its signature, cooked with Dang Gui (Angelica root), ginger and yam. Pick the laksa for a rich, spiced broth. [Soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/) explains how the dishes differ in general. If you want the stir-fried black pepper crab, the cheese crab or the chilli crab, you will need to go to [Tyrwhitt Road](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). ## Other crab places in Ang Mo Kio Ang Mo Kio already has well-known crab bee hoon places. Published round-ups name stalls and restaurants in and around the town, including one at Northstar@AMK and Mellben at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3. They are not ours, and we do not compare them here. Our [disclosed guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) lists them alphabetically with sources and dates, and notes what we have not tried. ## Dietary notes The crab dishes contain shellfish. The soup is cooked with cooking wine. The kitchen is not Halal-certified, and it serves no pork and no lard. For pies at the kiosk, see [the AMK Hub kiosk at donpies.com](https://donpies.com/outlets/amk-hub/), which also explains the route from Toa Payoh. ## Questions people ask ### Where exactly is the kiosk? At #B2-44, Basement 2, AMK Hub, 53 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, Singapore 569933, next to the NTUC FairPrice Xtra entrance. ### Can I order the Black Pepper Crab at AMK Hub? No. The kiosk's crab range is limited to the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon. The other crab dishes are cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. ### Are there other places for crab bee hoon in Ang Mo Kio? Yes. Other crab bee hoon places are named in published round-ups for the area. We list some in our disclosed guide, with their sources and dates. ### Is there seating? The kiosk is takeaway only and has no official seating area. ## Sources - Kitchen contact page, chickenpie.sg/contact-us (https://chickenpie.sg/contact-us/) --- # Pet-friendly crab bee hoon: dining indoors with your dog URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/pet-friendly/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The Tyrwhitt Road flagship is pet-friendly indoors, according to the kitchen, and the VIP room for up to 14 is also pet-friendly. The booking page has pet and non-pet table options. The kitchen has not published a full list of pet rules on this site, so check the booking page or the hotline for size, number and behaviour limits before you bring an animal. ## What the kitchen says Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab says its Tyrwhitt Road flagship is pet-friendly indoors. Its menu page adds that the VIP room, which seats up to 14, is pet-friendly too. The kitchen offers a separate pet table option on its booking page, so the restaurant can seat diners with and without animals. We keep this page short on purpose. The kitchen has not given us a list of pet rules, so we only report what it has said. ## Before you bring a pet Confirm these with the hotline on 6993 3333, or through the booking page, before you arrive: - Whether your animal's size or number is acceptable. - Whether the animal must be on a lead, in a carrier or on a seat. - Whether any areas are restricted. - Whether water and a mat are provided. We do not know the kitchen's rules on these points and will not guess. If the kitchen tells us, we will add them. ## How to book a pet table 1. Open the booking link on the [reservations page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/reservations/). 2. Choose the pet variant. 3. Pre-order your crab: pre-order online at least a day ahead for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. ## Eating crab with a pet at the table Crab shells are sharp and a poor treat for animals. Keep shells, bones and shellfish away from your pet. The dishes also contain seasoning, wine and herbs that are not intended for animals. This is general good sense, not a rule from the kitchen. ## What we do not claim Some listings call the restaurant a pioneer or give it a ranking for pet-friendliness. We could not find independent support for those claims, so we do not repeat them. We say what we know: the flagship is pet-friendly indoors, and there are pet and non-pet table options. ## Other things to know - **Hours:** see [hours and directions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). The flagship opens at 10am daily. - **Groups:** [group dining and the VIP room](https://donsignaturecrab.com/groups-and-vip-room/) explains how to book the room for up to 14. - **Dietary notes:** the kitchen is not Halal-certified; it serves no pork and no lard. ## Questions people ask ### Are pets allowed at the AMK Hub kiosk? The kiosk is a takeaway counter in a mall, with no official seating. The pet-friendly indoor dining applies to the Tyrwhitt Road flagship. ### Do I book a special table? The booking page has a pet variant and a non-pet variant. Choose the right one when you reserve. ### Is the kitchen the only pet-friendly crab restaurant? We do not know, and we make no such claim. A 2022 reviewer called it the first seafood restaurant to allow pets indoors, and the kitchen's own pages make a superlative of their own. We have not verified either claim, so we do not repeat them. ## Sources - Kitchen pet-friendly page (https://chickenpie.sg/pet-friendly/) - Kitchen contact page (https://chickenpie.sg/contact-us/) --- # Is our crab bee hoon halal? No: here is why and what we do URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** No. Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is not Halal-certified by MUIS, and we do not claim that any of our products are Halal. We do not serve pork or lard in any outlet, but the crab soup is cooked with cooking wine and we serve alcohol at the Tyrwhitt Road flagship, so we cannot be certified. ## The plain answer Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is not Halal-certified by MUIS, and we do not claim that any of our products are Halal. We strictly do not serve any pork or lard in all our outlets. However, we do serve alcohol in our flagship restaurant located at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. Therefore, we are unable to be Halal-certified. That statement is the kitchen's own wording, as of October 2026. We repeat it here without softening it, because it is the answer to the question you came with. ## What the crab soup contains The kitchen's FAQ says: "Our Signature Crab Bee Hoon soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Angelica root (more commonly known as Dang Gui)." The kitchen adds that it has children and pregnant customers who still enjoy it, and advises asking your doctor or gynaecologist. See [Dang Gui in crab soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/dang-gui-in-crab-soup/). So there are three separate facts, and each is true on its own: 1. **No pork, no lard** in any of the kitchen's outlets. 2. **Cooking wine** in the crab soup. 3. **Alcohol is served** at the Tyrwhitt Road flagship. Together they mean we do not describe the food as halal and do not suggest that it is. The ingredients are listed in [what is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/), and the other dishes are on [the menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). ## What about the other dishes? We have not published a wine-by-wine list for every dish. The kitchen's FAQ speaks about the soup. Dishes such as the black pepper, laksa, cheese and chilli styles are cooked in other sauces, and the kitchen has not told us whether wine is used in them. If this matters to you, ask the hotline before you order. The seafood bee hoon sets, the crab rice and the other dishes are in the same position. ## What this means for you - If you eat only halal-certified food, our crab dishes are not suitable. - If you avoid pork and lard but do not require certification, you may decide for yourself. The cooking wine is the matter to weigh. - If you avoid alcohol for any reason, do not order the crab soup, and ask about the other dishes. ## Finding certified places The Muslim Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) maintains the halal certification scheme and a directory of certified establishments. Look there, not here, for certification. We list a few places in our [disclosed crab bee hoon guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) that published round-ups describe as having halal options, and we say plainly that we have not verified them. If you were also asking about pies, the same wording applies to them: the pie side of the kitchen is not Halal-certified either, and [donpies.com](https://donpies.com/is-don-pie-halal/) answers that question in full. For a list of certified pie sellers, see [halal pies in Singapore at piesingapore.com](https://piesingapore.com/halal-pies-singapore/). ## How the statement is reviewed The wording at the top of this page is the statement on the kitchen's own home page, which shows that it was last reviewed on 25 August 2026. We copy it exactly rather than paraphrase it, so that nobody has to wonder whether a rewording changed the meaning. If the kitchen's statement changes, this page changes with it. ## If you are hosting a mixed group If some of your guests need halal-certified food, our crab dishes will not work for them, and you may prefer a venue that holds certification. If your group is mixed and everyone is comfortable with the facts above, the practical details are in [group dining](https://donsignaturecrab.com/groups-and-vip-room/) and [how to order](https://donsignaturecrab.com/order/). Whatever you decide, we would rather you decide with the plain facts than with a hope. ## Questions people ask ### Is the crab bee hoon soup cooked with alcohol? It is cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Angelica root (Dang Gui). That is the kitchen's own wording. A reviewer reported Shaoxing Chinese white wine. ### Is there pork or lard in your food? No. We strictly do not serve any pork or lard in any of our outlets. ### Do you serve alcohol? Yes, at the Tyrwhitt Road flagship. That is one of the reasons we cannot be Halal-certified. ### Where can I find halal-certified crab bee hoon? We cannot certify other places. The MUIS Halal Directory lists certified establishments. Published round-ups also name a few places with halal menus, which we list in the disclosed guide with a note that we have not checked their certification. ## Sources - Kitchen home page footer, halal statement reviewed 25 August 2026 (https://chickenpie.sg/) - Ordering site FAQ (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) - MUIS (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura) (https://www.muis.gov.sg/) --- # Group dining and the VIP room for up to 14 URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/groups-and-vip-room/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The Tyrwhitt Road flagship has a VIP room that seats up to 14 and is pet-friendly. Book through the reservations page or the hotline, and pre-order your crab at least a day ahead. For corporate, charity or bulk enquiries, email marketing@chickenpie.sg or hello@chickenpie.sg. We do not publish a minimum spend for the room, so ask when you book. ## The VIP room The kitchen's menu page says the Tyrwhitt Road flagship has a VIP room for up to 14 diners, and that the room is pet-friendly. It is the right choice for a family dinner, a celebration or a small team meal around a crab or two. We have not published a minimum spend, a room fee or a booking window, because we have not seen one. Ask when you [reserve a table](https://donsignaturecrab.com/reservations/) or call the hotline on 6993 3333. ## Sizing the order for a group Crab is a shared dish, but each crab is one animal, so the arithmetic is lumpy. Use this as a starting point. | Group | A reasonable crab order | Add | |---|---|---| | 4 to 6 | One Large or XL crab, or two Mediums in different styles | Crab fried rice, crab cakes | | 7 to 10 | One XL or XL+ plus one Large, or a flower-crab set for four | Omelette, rice, vegetables | | 11 to 14 | Two to three whole crabs in two styles, plus a set | Rice and small plates | These are our suggestions, not the kitchen's rules. Prices as of October 2026: Large $73.80, XL $88.80, XL+ $128.80, and the sets are $58.80 to $88.80. [The menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/) lists everything. Order a day ahead for whole crab, and three hours ahead for sets. For several crabs, ask the hotline whether the kitchen can set them aside, because same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. ## Mixing styles A table of six does well with one soup and one dry dish, so that people with different tastes each have something. Pair the signature [Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/) with the [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/), and add a cheese crab only if everyone can eat dairy. Check dietary needs first: the dishes contain shellfish, the soup contains cooking wine, and the kitchen is not Halal-certified. ## Corporate, charity and bulk requests For corporate, charity and bulk requests, email the kitchen: - marketing@chickenpie.sg, for corporate, charity and bulk enquiries (the kitchen lists bulk pies from 100 pieces on this address). - hello@chickenpie.sg, for general enquiries and discounts. If your event involves pies as well, donpieshop.com has [a guide to bulk and corporate pie orders](https://donpieshop.com/bulk-corporate-pie-orders/) covering quantities and lead times. Book a table How ordering works ## Questions people ask ### How many people does the VIP room seat? Up to 14, according to the kitchen's menu page. The room is pet-friendly. ### Is there a minimum spend? We have not found a published minimum spend. Ask when you book. ### Who do I email for corporate or charity orders? The kitchen lists marketing@chickenpie.sg for corporate, charity and bulk requests, and hello@chickenpie.sg for general enquiries. Bulk pie enquiries go to marketing@chickenpie.sg. ### How many crabs for a group of eight? There is no single answer, because appetites and sides differ. Our suggestion, not a kitchen rule, is one Large or XL crab for every two to three people, plus rice and small plates. See sizes and portions. ## Sources - Kitchen menu page and contact page (https://chickenpie.sg/contact-us/) --- # What is crab bee hoon? A short guide to Singapore's crab noodle URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/what-is-crab-bee-hoon/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Crab bee hoon is a Singapore dish of mud crab cooked with rice vermicelli (bee hoon), served either as a soup or in a drier, braised or stir-fried style. Wikipedia credits Sin Huat Eating House in Geylang, and its chef Danny Lee, with originating it. Many restaurants now serve their own versions, ours included. ## Definition Crab bee hoon is a Singapore dish made from crab and rice vermicelli. The crab is usually a mud crab, cooked whole or in pieces. The vermicelli, called bee hoon in Singapore, absorbs the stock or the sauce. The result comes in two broad styles: a soup bowl with a lot of broth, or a drier, braised or wok-fried plate in which the noodles carry the flavour. The dish is eaten with the hands as much as with chopsticks. You crack the shell, pull the meat from the claws and body, and use the noodles to mop up what is left. Because the crab is whole, the price tracks the size of the crab, and many restaurants quote it by weight. ## Where the dish is said to come from Wikipedia's entry on crab bee hoon credits Sin Huat Eating House in Geylang, and its chef Danny Lee, as the originators of the dish. The entry cites food writing by Leslie Tay (2007), Mothership (2017), Time Out (2008) and CNN Travel (2010). We cite this as Wikipedia's account, not as established history. Singapore's restaurants have their own origin stories, and we have no way to settle them. Eatbook (2 November 2023) describes Sin Huat's version as having wok hei, and reported a price of about $80 a kg, plus a $16 bee hoon top-up, as of that date. ## Two styles **Soup crab bee hoon.** The crab sits in a stock, often herbal or milky, and the noodles are served in it. The Eatbook and HungryGoWhere round-ups describe claypot versions with broth boiled from crab shells, and a clean, balanced broth. Our signature is a soup: a [milky herbal broth with Dang Gui](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). **Dry crab bee hoon.** The crab and noodles are braised or stir-fried with little liquid. Round-ups describe wok hei, a charred wok aroma, and a gravy that coats the noodles. Our dry version is the [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/), which the kitchen says is stir-fried dry. Our menu also has a laksa-broth version, the [Crab Laksa Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-laksa-bee-hoon/), a soup-style bowl in a spiced broth. Some places serve both and let you choose. If you cannot decide, [soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/) sets out the tradeoffs. ## How the price is usually quoted At zi char restaurants, crab bee hoon is often quoted by weight and by season, which is why round-ups print "seasonal price" or "market price". HungryGoWhere wrote in June 2026 that a typical crab bee hoon runs about $90 to $150 per kg. Our kitchen quotes fixed-size bowls from $39.80 as of October 2026. [The price guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/) sets out the difference with dated sources. ## Where our kitchen fits Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is one place among many that cook crab bee hoon. Chef Don Lim founded Don Pie and co-founded the kitchen, which cooks the signature soup today under the DonChef name. The crab dishes began as family cooking in the early 2000s and went on the menu after customers asked for them. Read [our story](https://donsignaturecrab.com/story/) for the dates, and the [disclosed guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) for other places to try. ## Spellings you will see You will see "bee hoon", "beehoon" and "bihun" in menus and searches. In search suggestions for Singapore, "crab beehoon" appears alongside "crab bee hoon", and the Ang Mo Kio claypot family appears as both "Mellben" and "Melben". They refer to the same dish, and we use "bee hoon" throughout. ## Questions people ask ### What does bee hoon mean? Bee hoon is the name Singaporeans use for rice vermicelli, a thin rice noodle. ### Is crab bee hoon a soup? It can be. Some places serve it as a soup, some as a dry, braised or stir-fried dish with little or no liquid, and some offer both. See soup or dry crab bee hoon. ### Who invented crab bee hoon? Wikipedia's entry credits Sin Huat Eating House and chef Danny Lee. Other restaurants have their own histories. We cite Wikipedia and do not settle the question. ### What is the difference between crab bee hoon and chilli crab? Chilli crab is a crab in a chilli gravy; our kitchen describes its version as a blend of sweet, spicy and savoury elements, with optional mantou. Crab bee hoon puts the crab with rice vermicelli, in soup or dry form. We cook both: chilli crab and more. ## Sources - Wikipedia, Crab bee hoon (modified 23 Aug 2026) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_bee_hoon) - Expat Living, All you need to know about Crab Bee Hoon (2014, modified 22 Mar 2023) (https://expatliving.sg/all-you-need-to-know-about-crab-bee-hoon-in-singapore/) - Eatbook, crab bee hoon round-up of 10 places (10 May 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - HungryGoWhere, 12 spots for crab bee hoon (1 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) --- # Soup or dry crab bee hoon? How to choose URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Soup crab bee hoon serves the crab and noodles in a stock you sip. Dry crab bee hoon is braised or stir-fried with little liquid, so the noodles carry a stronger, saucier flavour. Our signature is a soup, and our Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon is stir-fried dry. Choose soup for a lighter, drinkable bowl and dry for a bolder, hands-on plate. ## The difference in one line Soup crab bee hoon is a bowl you can drink. Dry crab bee hoon is a plate you can wipe clean with the noodles. The crab is the same animal in both. What changes is the liquid. ## Soup crab bee hoon In a soup, the noodles sit in a stock made from crab shells and other ingredients, and the stock is the point. Published round-ups describe claypot versions with a clean, balanced broth (HungryGoWhere, June 2026) and one boiled with more than 20 crab shells (Eatbook, May 2023). The pleasure is in the broth: you take a spoonful between each piece of crab. **Our soup** is the signature: a milky herbal broth with Dang Gui (Angelica root), ginger and yam, cooked with cooking wine, served with thick rice vermicelli. It is the dish the kitchen calls "the signature dish which started it all". See [DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). **Our laksa** is a soup in a spiced laksa broth, for people who want more heat. See [Crab Laksa Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-laksa-bee-hoon/). ## Dry crab bee hoon A dry version is braised or stir-fried so that little liquid is left, and the noodles pick up the sauce. Eatbook and HungryGoWhere describe dry versions with wok hei, the smoky aroma of a very hot wok, and a thicker gravy. You eat it with your hands, and you leave with sauce on your fingers. **Our dry dish** is the [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/). The kitchen says that, unlike other black pepper crabs, its version is stir-fried dry. The Cheese Crab Bee Hoon and the Chilli Crab are served in sauce, and the kitchen does not call either one dry, so we do not. ## A quick chooser | If you want | Choose | |---|---| | A lighter bowl you can sip | Crab Bee Hoon Soup | | Heat and a spiced broth | Crab Laksa Bee Hoon | | A peppery plate with strong flavour | Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon | | Rich and creamy, to share | Cheese Crab Bee Hoon (Medium and above) | | Sweet, spicy gravy and buns | Chilli Crab | All prices are on [the menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). Regular is $39.80 as of October 2026 for every style except the cheese crab, which starts at Medium at $58.80. ## Who tends to prefer which? We have no survey and will not invent one. What we can say is what the round-ups imply. Reviewers who praise a clean, balanced soup are describing a different pleasure from those who praise wok hei. If you are new to crab, a soup is a gentler start because the broth softens the effort of cracking. If you have eaten a lot of crab, you may want a dry dish for its stronger flavour. If you cannot choose, order one of each in different sizes and share. [Sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) can help you plan. ## Soup or dry for a pregnant diner or a child? The soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs, and the kitchen's FAQ advises asking your doctor or gynaecologist. The dishes in sauce may or may not contain wine, and the kitchen has not said. Read [Dang Gui in crab soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/dang-gui-in-crab-soup/) and, for the wording on alcohol, [the halal page](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/). ## For takeaway Two of our dishes are sold at the AMK Hub kiosk for takeaway: the Crab Bee Hoon Soup and the Crab Laksa Bee Hoon, both soups. The kitchen recommends picking up your food over delivery, and says to consume it on the day of purchase, within four hours. A dry dish has less liquid to carry, which is an advantage for the journey, but the kitchen has not published travel advice for either style. Read [crab bee hoon takeaway](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-takeaway/) for the outlets, and [delivery](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/) for what to know before you choose it. ## Questions people ask ### Which is better, soup or dry? It is a matter of taste, so we do not rank them. Round-ups describe soup versions as cleaner and more balanced and dry versions as bolder and wok-scented. Choose the one that suits the meal. ### Do you serve both? Yes. The Crab Bee Hoon Soup, Crab Laksa Bee Hoon and the Cheese Crab Bee Hoon are served in sauce or broth, and the Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon is stir-fried dry. The Chilli Crab is served in gravy. ### Can I turn the soup into a dry dish? The soup's ordering options include no bee hoon. We do not offer a dry soup, and the kitchen has not published such an option. ## Sources - Eatbook, crab bee hoon round-up of 10 places (10 May 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - HungryGoWhere, 12 spots for crab bee hoon (1 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Kitchen product page, Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon (https://chickenpie.sg/product/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon-regular-by-chef-don-lim/) --- # How to eat crab bee hoon without the mess (almost) URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-eat-crab-bee-hoon/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Crack the claws first, then lift the top shell and scoop out any roe or crab fat, pull the body into pieces and take the meat, then drink the broth and finish the bee hoon last so it soaks up the flavour. Use a cracker, keep napkins close, and wear dark clothes. The kitchen sells a metal crab cracker for $5.80. ## Before you start The kitchen's own menu heading calls the crab dishes "The 'OG' Crab: Messy But Worth It", so nobody is expecting you to stay tidy. A few small preparations help. - Ask for extra napkins and a spare plate or bowl for the shells. - Wear something dark and roll up your sleeves. - If you want a tool, the kitchen sells a limited edition metal crab cracker for $5.80 as of October 2026. ## Seven steps These steps apply to a soup or a dry dish. The order is our practical suggestion, not a house rule. 1. **Take a spoonful of broth first.** In the soup, the broth is hottest at the start, so sip a little before the crab cools. 2. **Crack the claws.** Use the cracker or the back of a spoon, and work from the thick part of the claw. Pull the meat out in one piece if you can. 3. **Lift the top shell.** Hold the crab with one hand and lift the shell away from the body. Scoop out any roe or crab fat that you find, which many people like to eat with a spoon. 4. **Remove the gills.** The soft, feathery parts under the shell are not eaten. Pull them off and put them in the spare bowl. 5. **Split the body.** Snap the body in half and pick out the meat along the ridges. Wooden or small forks help, but fingers are faster. 6. **Suck out the legs.** Break the legs at the joints and pull the meat out, or bite along the leg and squeeze. 7. **Finish with the noodles and broth.** The bee hoon has been soaking in the flavour all the time you worked. Eat it last, with the remaining soup. ## What about the dry dishes? In a dry dish such as the [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/), the sauce is on the shell. Work the same way, and use the noodles to wipe up the pan juices at the end. For the soup, see [DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/). ## A note on spice and speed Crab is nicer while it is warm, so crack the claws early and pause between pieces so that the soup does not sit too long. The kitchen says to eat on the day of purchase, within four hours, when you take food away. ## Things to avoid - Do not eat the gills. - Do not rush the claws, because shell fragments are sharp. - Keep one fork or pair of chopsticks clean for the bee hoon; the crab is for hands. - If you have a shellfish allergy, do not eat any of these dishes. All our crab dishes contain shellfish. ## Choosing a size for the mess you want A Regular crab, sold as a one-person portion, is quick to finish. An XL is a longer job. [Sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) explains the ladder, and [chilli crab and the other dishes](https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/) covers the sides that take the edge off a long cracking session. ## Eating with children or in a group For a group, put a spare bowl in the middle of the table for shells and a stack of napkins within reach. Crack the claws for children before you hand them over, because shell fragments are sharp, and take care that no small pieces of shell land in the noodles. With a shared crab, pass the cracker around instead of letting everyone work at once. If you are in a restaurant, ask the staff for extra bowls and wet wipes; most will bring them. If you are collecting takeaway and eating at home, set out newspaper or a large tray, and eat while the soup is still hot. ## When to stop There is no rule. Some diners finish every claw, and some leave the legs. If you are full of crab and still have broth, the soup travels well in a takeaway container, but eat it the same day, within four hours of purchase, as the kitchen advises. For help choosing how much crab to start with, read [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/). ## Questions people ask ### Do I get a cracker? The ordering site sells a limited edition metal crab cracker for $5.80 as of October 2026. Ask the restaurant what is on the table when you dine in. ### Is it all right to eat with your hands? Yes. A whole crab is a hands-on dish, which is why the kitchen's menu section is titled "The 'OG' Crab: Messy But Worth It". ### What do I do with the shells? Ask for a spare bowl or plate for shells. In a restaurant the staff will bring one if you ask. ## Sources - Kitchen menu PDF, section 'The OG Crab: Messy But Worth It' (28 Feb 2026) (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) --- # A home crab bee hoon soup (not our kitchen's recipe) URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-cook-crab-bee-hoon-soup/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** To make crab bee hoon soup at home, steam a whole mud crab until cooked through, simmer the cracked shells with ginger and water into a stock, season it, then add soaked rice vermicelli and the crab pieces. This is a home version drawn from standard technique. It is not the recipe used at Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, which has not been published. ## A home version, not our recipe This is a home crab bee hoon soup. It is not the recipe used at Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab. The kitchen has not published how its signature broth is made, we do not have it, and we will not guess at it. What follows is a plain home method built on common technique: cook the crab, make a stock from the shells, and put it together with vermicelli. Home recipe blogs such as Nomadette, The Meatmen and Expat Living describe similar approaches, and we list them in the sources. If you would like the real thing instead, the soup is on [the menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/) from $39.80 as of October 2026. ## What you need (serves 2) - 1 whole mud crab, about 600g to 800g, live or well thawed - 2 litres water - 5 slices ginger - 2 spring onions, whites crushed - 1 tablespoon cooking wine, if you cook with it - 150g dried rice vermicelli (bee hoon) - 1 small bunch of leafy greens, such as choy sum or milk cabbage - Salt, white pepper - Optional: 100ml evaporated milk for a creamier soup, a common home trick in recipe blogs ## Method 1. **Prepare the crab.** Lift the top shell, remove the gills and rinse. Cut the body in half and crack the claws so that the flavour can escape. 2. **Steam it.** Steam the pieces for 10 to 12 minutes, until the shell is bright orange and the meat is cooked through. Keep the juices that collect in the dish. 3. **Make the stock.** Put the shell, the legs and the steaming juices into a pot with the water, ginger and spring onion whites. Simmer for 30 minutes, uncovered, skimming off any scum. Strain. 4. **Season.** Return the stock to the pot, add the wine if using, then salt and white pepper to taste. Stir in the evaporated milk if you want a creamier soup, and warm it gently without boiling hard. 5. **Soak the noodles.** Soak the dried vermicelli in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain. Add it to the stock and cook for 2 minutes. 6. **Add the crab and greens.** Return the crab pieces and the greens. Heat through for 2 minutes. Serve at once. The soup should taste of crab, ginger and a little sweetness, and the noodles should be soft but not mushy. ## Food-safety notes - Cook crab until the meat is opaque and hot throughout. Do not eat crab that smelled bad before cooking. - Eat it the same day. Cool leftovers quickly and refrigerate within two hours; reheat to piping hot, once only. - Shellfish is a common allergen. ## What is different in a restaurant A restaurant cooks many crabs to order, uses a shop-made stock, and can keep a pot at temperature all day. Our own broth is "milky" and "herbal", cooked with cooking wine, ginger, yam and Dang Gui (Angelica root), according to the kitchen. Home cooks cannot easily match that without the stock base, which the kitchen has not disclosed. [What is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/) lists what is public. If your crab is the star and your time is short, order a Regular and eat it the way [how to eat crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-eat-crab-bee-hoon/) describes. ## Choosing and handling the crab A live crab gives the cleanest flavour, but frozen is a practical choice. If it is live, chill it in the freezer for 30 to 40 minutes before you prepare it so that it is sluggish and easier to handle. Check that the legs and claws are intact, and cook it the same day. If it is frozen, thaw it fully in the fridge overnight, never on the counter. Wear gloves or use tongs, because the shell and claws are sharp. ## Make-ahead and leftovers The stock can be made a day ahead and kept refrigerated. Cook the noodles and the crab only when you are ready to serve, so that the noodles do not turn soft. Do not reheat crab more than once. ## Questions people ask ### Is this your kitchen's recipe? No. The kitchen has not published its stock recipe and we do not have it. This page is a home version written from standard technique. ### Can I use frozen crab? Yes, thawed fully in the fridge. Fresh, live crab gives the cleanest flavour, but frozen crab is a practical alternative. ### Can I just order the soup instead? Yes. DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup is on the menu from $39.80 as of October 2026. ## Sources - Nomadette, Singapore crab bee hoon (12 May 2022, modified 11 Jun 2026) (https://nomadette.com/singapore-crab-bee-hoon/) - Expat Living, All you need to know about Crab Bee Hoon (https://expatliving.sg/all-you-need-to-know-about-crab-bee-hoon-in-singapore/) - The Meatmen, Crab bee hoon soup (https://themeatmen.sg/recipes/crab-bee-hoon-soup/) --- # Crab bee hoon calories: what we know and what we don't URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-calories/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** The kitchen has not published calorie figures for its crab bee hoon, so we do not state one. Calories in a crab bee hoon depend mainly on the broth or sauce, the amount of bee hoon, any added oil, and the size of the crab. Online figures vary widely because they describe different recipes: one home recipe lists 504 kcal per serving, for a three-serving recipe. ## The honest answer We do not have calorie figures for our crab bee hoon. The kitchen, Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, has not published nutrition data for the crab soup, the black pepper, laksa, cheese or chilli dishes, or for the crab rice and omelette. We have no lab results, and we have not run a recipe calculation. A number from us would be a guess, and a guess presented as a figure is worse than no figure. If you are tracking calories, this page explains what changes the answer, so that you can make a sensible choice. ## What drives the calories in a crab bee hoon **The broth or sauce.** A clear or lightly milky soup carries fewer calories than a thick sauce. Add evaporated milk, coconut milk, cheese or a great deal of oil, and the number rises. **The bee hoon.** Rice vermicelli is mostly starch. A larger pile means more calories. The ordering system lets you choose no bee hoon on the soup, which removes the noodles. The ordering site also lists an $8.80 Bee Hoon and Soup top-up that adds more noodles and broth. **The cooking method.** A stir-fried dry dish uses oil in the wok. A steamed or simmered crab does not need much. **The size of the crab.** Crab meat itself is lean. A larger crab has more shell and also more meat, but shell is not eaten, so "crab size" changes the calorie count less than the noodle and sauce do. **What you drink and add.** Mantou with the chilli crab, fried rice on the side and a sweet drink each add to the meal. ## Why figures online vary so much Search for "crab bee hoon calories" and you will find different numbers, because each describes a different recipe. A home recipe on Rasa Malaysia shows 504 kcal per serving in its search summary, for a recipe that makes three servings. Generic entries for "fried bee hoon" in nutrition databases describe a different dish again, with no crab. None of these is our soup. We do not know of any Singapore restaurant that publishes calories for its crab bee hoon, which is part of why this page exists. If you see a precise figure attached to our dishes elsewhere, check where it came from. ## How to eat lighter without a number - Pick the soup over a creamy or cheesy dish. - Share a Medium or Large, and add vegetables or a clear dish. - Skip the top-up noodles if you do not need them. - Drink the broth in moderation if you are watching sodium; we have no sodium figure either. These are general suggestions, not medical or dietetic advice. For advice that fits you, ask a doctor or dietitian. ## If you want a general explainer donchickenpie.com has an explainer on [what drives calories in a chicken pie and why it will not guess figures](https://donchickenpie.com/chicken-pie-nutrition/), which takes the same cautious approach for pies. For what is in the soup, see [what is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/); for portion sizes, [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/); for prices, [the menu](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/); and for short answers, [the FAQ](https://donsignaturecrab.com/faq/). ## Questions to ask any restaurant If you want a number for any crab bee hoon, ask the restaurant these four questions before you rely on a figure. 1. Is the figure for the whole bowl, or for the noodles and broth without the crab? 2. Does it include the sauce, the oil used in the wok and any cheese or evaporated milk? 3. Which size does it describe, and is the crab weight live or cooked? 4. Was it measured in a lab, calculated from a recipe, or copied from a database? A figure with no answers to these is not a figure you can use. We apply the same test to our own dishes, which is why we do not print one today. ## Questions people ask ### How many calories are in your crab bee hoon soup? We do not know, and the kitchen has not published a figure. We would rather say that than quote a number that could be wrong. ### Is the soup lighter than the dry dishes? Generally, a soup holds less oil than a stir-fried dish, but we have no measured figures for either. The cheese crab is made with a cheese sauce and will usually be richer. ### Will you publish nutrition information? If the kitchen supplies lab or recipe-calculated figures, we will publish them with their source and date. Until then, this page stays as it is. ## Sources - Rasa Malaysia crab bee hoon recipe (504 kcal per serving, as shown in a search summary, 8 Oct 2026; we did not open the printable card) - FatSecret entries for generic fried bee hoon (search results, 8 Oct 2026) --- # Dang Gui in crab soup: what it is and what to ask your doctor URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/dang-gui-in-crab-soup/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Dang Gui is Angelica root, an herb used in Chinese cooking, and it is one of the herbs in our crab bee hoon soup, along with ginger and yam. The soup is also cooked with cooking wine. The kitchen says children and pregnant customers still enjoy it, and advises asking your doctor or gynaecologist. We make no health claims. ## What Dang Gui is Dang Gui is the Chinese name for Angelica root, a root used in Chinese cooking and herbal soups. The kitchen's menu and FAQ call it "Angelica root (more commonly known as Dang Gui)". The kitchen's product page, by contrast, describes it as "a type of ginseng grown in cool, high-altitude mountains in East Asia". We use the first description, because it is the more accurate, and we write "Dang Gui (Angelica root)". ## What the kitchen says about it The kitchen says a little Dang Gui gives the soup a delicious and unique flavour. Its FAQ says that the signature Crab Bee Hoon soup is "cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Angelica root". So the herb sits in the broth beside ginger and yam. A partnership post on ieatishootipost (April 2023) reported that the kitchen uses Dang Gui and ginger to balance the yin and yang, because crabs are considered a "cooling" ingredient. That is the writer's report of what the kitchen said in 2023, not a statement we can verify, and we do not make claims about how food affects the body. ## Children and pregnancy This is the question we get most often, and it deserves a careful answer. The kitchen's FAQ says it has children and pregnant ladies who still enjoy the soup, and it recommends checking with your doctor or gynaecologist. We repeat that and add nothing to it. We are a kitchen and a website, not medical professionals. The soup contains three things you may want to ask about: Dang Gui, cooking wine, and shellfish. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a condition, ask your doctor before you order the soup. If you are not sure, order a dish that does not use Dang Gui, and ask the hotline which dishes those are. ## What we do not claim - We do not claim any health benefit for Dang Gui or for the soup. - We do not say the soup is safe or unsafe for any group. - We do not say how much Dang Gui is in a bowl. The kitchen has not published the amount. ## Wine, and the halal question Because the soup is cooked with cooking wine, it is not suitable for people who avoid alcohol. The kitchen is not Halal-certified by MUIS. See [is it halal](https://donsignaturecrab.com/halal/) for the full wording. ## If you want to taste it The Regular crab bee hoon soup is sold as a one-person portion at $39.80 as of October 2026. Read [DonChef's Crab Bee Hoon Soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup/) for sizes, or [what is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/) for the full list of what the kitchen has said. Other questions are answered in [the FAQ](https://donsignaturecrab.com/faq/). ## Questions to ask before you order - Do I avoid alcohol? The soup is cooked with cooking wine. - Am I pregnant, breastfeeding or on medication? Ask your doctor or gynaecologist, as the kitchen advises. - Do I have a shellfish allergy? All crab dishes contain shellfish. - Do I prefer a mild herbal taste? Dang Gui gives the soup an herbal note, which some diners like and others do not. If you are unsure, order a Regular, or try the stir-fried [Black Pepper Crab Bee Hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/black-pepper-crab-bee-hoon/), which the kitchen describes without Dang Gui. The other herbs the kitchen names are ginger and yam. Ginger is a common kitchen ingredient. We give no health claim for either. ## Where the herb is used elsewhere on the menu Dang Gui also appears in The Flounder's Crabby Choice, a flower-crab set for three to four people whose broth is brewed with dried flounder, Dang Gui and sweet yam. It is one of the sets described on [chilli crab and the other dishes](https://donsignaturecrab.com/other-crab-dishes/). The same cautions about wine, herbs and shellfish apply, and the hotline on 6993 3333 can answer questions about any particular dish. ## Questions people ask ### Is Dang Gui ginseng? The kitchen's product page calls it a type of ginseng, while its menu and FAQ call it Angelica root. We use Angelica root, because that is what Dang Gui is commonly known as. ### Can pregnant women eat the soup? We cannot advise. The kitchen's FAQ says it has children and pregnant customers who still enjoy the soup, and recommends checking with your doctor or gynaecologist. The soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs. ### Does the soup taste of herbs? The kitchen says a little Dang Gui gives the soup a delicious and unique flavour. Reviewers have called the broth herbal and full-bodied. Taste is personal, so start with a Regular. ### Do other dishes contain Dang Gui? The Flounder's Crabby Choice set is described as a broth brewed with dried flounder, Dang Gui and sweet yam. The kitchen has not listed Dang Gui in the other dishes. ## Sources - Ordering site FAQ, buy.chickenpie.sg (https://buy.chickenpie.sg/faq) - Kitchen product page, Crab Bee Hoon Soup (Regular) (https://chickenpie.sg/product/crab-bee-hoon-soup-regular-by-chef-don-lim/) - ieatishootipost, 20 Apr 2023 (partnership post) (https://ieatishootipost.sg/chicken-pie-kitchen-dons-signature-crab-bee-hoon-the-don-is-back/) --- # Sri Lankan mud crab: why size and weight matter URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/sri-lankan-mud-crab/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** A mud crab is a large, meaty crab, and the kitchen says its crab dishes use thoroughly cleaned Sri Lankan mud crabs delivered to it daily. Crab weight can mean live weight or cooked weight, and the two differ a lot. Our printed weights (350g to 800g for Regular to XL) do not say which, and the kitchen has not published its sourcing in more detail. ## What is a mud crab? A mud crab is a large crab with a heavy shell and thick claws, popular in Singapore for dishes such as chilli crab, black pepper crab and crab bee hoon. It is usually bought live, cooked whole and priced by size or weight. Our kitchen uses mud crab in all five of its whole-crab styles, from Regular to XL+. ## What the kitchen says about its crab We keep to what the kitchen has put in writing. - Its home page says its crab dishes are made from "thoroughly-cleaned Sri Lankan mud crabs which are delivered to us daily". - Its product pages use the phrases "air-flown" and "top-grade". Those are marketing words, and we do not repeat them as facts. - It has not told us whether it buys male or female crabs, how it stores them, or whether roe is guaranteed. Reviewers have added their own details. SethLui wrote in December 2022 of "daily air-flown Sri Lankan crab" in a partnership post. Miss Tam Chiak, in a post hosted by the kitchen the same month, wrote that only Sri Lankan and Indian mud crabs are used, and that quantities are limited each day because the live crab arrives fresh. These are reports, and the kitchen has not repeated the second one on its own pages. ## Why weight needs care Crab weight sounds simple and is not. There are two common ways to quote it. - **Live weight** is the whole crab before cooking, shell included. - **Cooked weight** is the crab after cooking, and it is lower. The difference is large. One delivery business, 8 Crabs, prints both on its product page, and its Regular crab is listed as 400g to 500g live and 240g to 300g cooked, about 60 per cent. A restaurant that prints only one number leaves you to guess which it is. Our kitchen prints weight bands for Regular (350g to 400g), Medium (500g to 550g), Large (600g to 650g) and XL (700g to 800g), and none for XL+. It has not said whether the bands are live or cooked weights. Until it does, use them to compare our sizes with each other, not with another restaurant's numbers. [Sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) explains the price steps. ## What size means for you A bigger crab costs more because there is more of it, and usually more meat. A smaller crab is easier to finish alone. A Regular is sold as a one-person portion, and a Large or XL is for sharing. We do not claim that a given price buys a given weight of meat, because the kitchen has not told us. ## Related reading For how the broth works with the crab, see [what is in the soup](https://donsignaturecrab.com/whats-in-the-soup/). To eat the crab properly, see [how to eat crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/how-to-eat-crab-bee-hoon/). ## Questions to ask any crab seller When you compare crab dishes, ask three plain questions. Is the weight live or cooked? Is the crab live-cooked to order, or cooked earlier and held? And is the price for the crab alone or for the whole dish with noodles? We have answered the first as far as we can, said what is unknown, and given the price per bowl rather than per kilogram. For the pricing side, read [the dated price guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/). ## What we will update If the kitchen tells us whether its weights are live or cooked, what XL+ weighs, or which crabs it uses beyond Sri Lankan mud crab, we will change this page and [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/) on the same day, and show the update date at the foot of each. ## Questions people ask ### Is your crab air-flown? The kitchen's home page says its crabs are delivered daily. Its product pages and some reviewers use the word air-flown. We say delivered daily, because that is the more general wording. ### Are the crabs female or male? The kitchen has not said, and we do not know whether roe is guaranteed in any given crab. ### Is it only Sri Lankan crab? The kitchen says Sri Lankan mud crab. One reviewer (Miss Tam Chiak, December 2022) wrote that only Sri Lankan and Indian mud crabs are used. We use the kitchen's own wording. ### What is the weight of the XL+ crab? The kitchen has not published one. See sizes and portions. ## Sources - Kitchen home page (crab sourcing statement) (https://chickenpie.sg/) - 8 Crabs product page, live and cooked weight (modified 2 Jul 2026) (https://www.8crabs.com/shop/signature-crab-bee-hoon-soup/) - Miss Tam Chiak, 21 Dec 2022 (hosted by the kitchen) (https://www.misstamchiak.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab/) - SethLui, 16 Dec 2022 (partnership post) (https://sethlui.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab-singapore/) --- # How much is crab bee hoon in Singapore? A dated price guide URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Published round-ups put typical crab bee hoon at about $90 to $150 per kg at zi char restaurants (HungryGoWhere, June 2026), and many places quote only a seasonal price. Our kitchen sells fixed-size bowls: Regular $39.80, Medium $58.80, Large $73.80, XL $88.80 and XL+ $128.80, as of October 2026. Prices change, so every figure here is dated. ## Two ways crab bee hoon is priced **By weight, usually at a zi char restaurant.** You pick a crab, it is weighed, and the price is per kilogram, often "seasonal" or "market". The final bill depends on the crab's weight, so two tables can pay very differently. **By fixed size, as at our kitchen.** You pick Regular, Medium, Large, XL or XL+ and know the price before you order. That is easier to plan, but you cannot choose a particular crab by weight. Neither is cheaper in general. They answer different questions: "what will this crab cost?" and "what will tonight cost?" ## Our prices, as of October 2026

Prices as of October 2026, from the kitchen's menu PDF of 28 February 2026 and its ordering system (XL+ and the flower-crab sets). Dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax.

## What other places print, with dates These are figures from published round-ups. We have not checked any restaurant's current price, and several print only "seasonal" or "market" price. | Source and date | What it printed | |---|---| | HungryGoWhere, 1 Jun 2026 | A typical crab bee hoon in Singapore runs about $90 to $150 per kg. Several entries print "seasonal price" or "market price". | | HungryGoWhere, 1 Jun 2026 | HolyCrab: $108 per kg plus $12 per preparation. Red House: from $188 per crab plus $12 for vermicelli. 8 Crabs: soup from $90.90. | | Eatbook, 2 Nov 2023 | Sin Huat Eating House: about $80 per kg plus a $16 bee hoon top-up. | | Her World, updated 24 Jun 2024 | Mellben: from $73 for an 800g crab. Kelly Jie: $77.50 for a 700g to 800g crab. | | Eatbook, 10 May 2023 | Crab at Bay: "seasonal pricing". | Treat these as a snapshot, not a quote. Some are three years old. ## Our own price history The Regular soup has risen in price since 2022. The table shows each dated source. | Date | Source | Regular soup | Other figures | |---|---|---|---| | 2017 | Toa Payoh stall (SethLui list) | $20 | Eatbook, 4 Apr 2017: cheese and laksa crab bee hoon $25; crab prices $25 to $65 by size | | 16 Dec 2022 | SethLui (partnership post) | $33.80 (350g to 400g) | An XXL at $108.80 | | 20 Apr 2023 | ieatishootipost (partnership post) | not stated | Medium $53.80 | | 28 Feb 2026 | Kitchen menu | $39.80 | Medium $58.80, Large $73.80, XL $88.80 | | 8 Oct 2026 | Kitchen ordering system | $39.80 | XL+ $128.80 | Between December 2022 and February 2026 the Regular rose by $6.00, and between April 2023 and February 2026 the Medium rose by $5.00. We do not use the 2017 prices, which belong to a Toa Payoh coffee-shop stall that has closed. [Where that stall went](https://donsignaturecrab.com/don-signature-crab-toa-payoh/) explains why old listings still show them. ## What to compare If you are comparing us with a per-kg restaurant, put a number on the crab, not just on the bowl: ask for the crab weight, whether it is live or cooked, whether the price includes bee hoon, and what is added for service and tax. Our weights are printed as bands and the kitchen has not said whether they are live or cooked, so a direct per-kg comparison is not yet possible. See [sizes and portions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/sizes-and-portions/). ## Delivery and extras Delivery has a fee by distance, and some places carry surcharges; read [crab bee hoon delivery](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/). The ordering site lists a Bee Hoon and Soup top-up at $8.80, a metal crab cracker at $5.80 and container extras from $0.80. All are as of October 2026. For a list of other places with sources, see our [disclosed guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/), and for the full menu, [menu and prices](https://donsignaturecrab.com/menu/). ## Questions people ask ### Why do restaurants say 'seasonal price'? Crab prices move with supply, so many zi char restaurants quote a market or seasonal price instead of a fixed one. Round-ups in 2023 and 2026 print those words for several restaurants. ### Is the price per kg or per bowl at your kitchen? Per bowl, in five sizes. Each size carries a printed crab weight band (350g to 800g for Regular to XL). The kitchen has not said whether the weights are live or cooked. ### Do your prices include service charge and tax? The kitchen's menu header says dine-in prices are subject to service charge and prevailing tax. Delivery has its own fee by distance. ### Is the cheese crab from $39.80? No. A June 2026 round-up printed 'from S$39.80', but the kitchen says Cheese Crab Bee Hoon starts at Medium, $58.80 as of October 2026. See cheese crab bee hoon. ## Sources - HungryGoWhere, 12 spots for crab bee hoon (1 Jun 2026, modified 11 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Eatbook, crab bee hoon round-up of 10 places (10 May 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Eatbook, Sin Huat Eating House (2 Nov 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/sin-huat-eating-house/) - Her World, crab delivery services (updated 24 Jun 2024) (https://www.herworld.com/life/foodanddrink/crab-delivery-services-singapore) - SethLui, 16 Dec 2022 (partnership post) (https://sethlui.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab-singapore/) - ieatishootipost, 20 Apr 2023 (partnership post) (https://ieatishootipost.sg/chicken-pie-kitchen-dons-signature-crab-bee-hoon-the-don-is-back/) - Eatbook, 4 Apr 2017 (Toa Payoh stall review) (https://eatbook.sg/don-signature-crab/) - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) --- # Crab bee hoon in Singapore: a disclosed guide URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** This guide lists 15 crab bee hoon places in Singapore in alphabetical order, ourselves included, with area, style, a dated price and a source link. It is published by Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, one of the places listed. It does not rank anyone, and it states what we have not tried. Prices are quoted from sources and may have changed. ## How this guide works Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is a crab bee hoon kitchen, so this guide has a conflict of interest, and the most honest thing we can do is declare it and set rules. 1. **Alphabetical order.** Numerals first, then A to Z. There is no first place and no last place, and no star rating. 2. **Sources and dates.** Each row cites where the fact came from and when. We use three round-ups (HungryGoWhere in June 2026, Eatbook in May 2023, Her World, updated June 2024), the places' own pages where we have read them, and Wikipedia. 3. **We list ourselves like anyone else.** Our row uses our own printed menu and carries the same columns. 4. **We say what we have not done.** We have not tested any of these places for this guide. We have not confirmed current prices with them. 5. **Corrections.** If something is wrong, tell us, and we will correct it, including facts about our own kitchen. ## The list Prices and details change, and several are from older sources. The table is a starting point, not a quote. ## What the table cannot tell you **Price.** Most places do not publish a fixed price. HungryGoWhere printed "seasonal price" or "market price" for most of its entries in June 2026, and the places that do print figures often quote them per kilogram. Our fixed-size bowls begin at $39.80 as of October 2026, which is a different way of buying crab. See [the dated price guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/). **Soup or dry.** The round-ups describe both. If you are not sure which you want, [soup or dry crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-soup-vs-dry/) explains the choice without pointing you at anyone. **Delivery.** Most entries do not say, and we marked those "not confirmed by us". Two appear in a Her World delivery round-up. One, 8 Crabs, is built around delivery. For our own delivery rules, read [crab bee hoon delivery](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-delivery/), which recommends pickup for hot soup. **Halal.** Eatbook's list marked individual entries as not halal-certified eateries in 2023. For halal options, round-ups named Home of Seafood (1 Joo Chiat Place, claypot bee hoon crab) and Segar Village, and we have not checked their certification. Check the MUIS directory. We are not Halal-certified: no pork, no lard, and the soup is cooked with cooking wine. ## Places people ask about that we did not list - **Jumbo Seafood.** People search for "jumbo crab bee hoon", but no crab bee hoon round-up we opened lists it, and the sources we saw describe its black pepper and chilli crab. We list nothing without a source. - **Ban Leong Wah Hoe.** A zi char restaurant in Casuarina Road that the sources we read describe for crab in general, with chilli crab in particular. We found no crab bee hoon mention in them. - **Hai Kee.** We could not tie this name to crab bee hoon in any round-up or search. If you have a source that places any of them on the list, send it to us. ## Stale listings Some round-ups still show an old entry for ours. SethLui's list (first published 2016, modified September 2026) shows the Toa Payoh stall at "$20" and a Block 206 address, which belong to a stall that has closed. Directories can show a 1008A Toa Payoh listing too. Our kitchen has no Toa Payoh outlet today; the full story is in [where the Toa Payoh stall went](https://donsignaturecrab.com/don-signature-crab-toa-payoh/). For what has been written about us, with dates and who paid, see [reviews and press](https://donsignaturecrab.com/reviews-and-press/). ## If you are also thinking of pies The kitchen also bakes pies, and the round-up at [what food blogs and diners say about Don Pie](https://donpies.com/don-pie-reviews/) takes a similar sourced approach to the pie side. ## Questions people ask ### Why is this guide written by a restaurant on the list? Because people search for crab bee hoon places and many existing lists are old, per-kg and short on dates. We chose to write one openly and say who wrote it. We list ourselves alphabetically, like anyone else, and we do not rank. ### Have you eaten at all these places? We have not tested any of them for this guide. Every fact comes from a cited source with its date. Where we have no source, the table says so. ### How do I ask for a correction? Email hello@chickenpie.sg with the place, the fact and the source. We will check and fix errors, including errors about ourselves. ### Which listed places are halal? We cannot certify other places. Published round-ups name a few with halal menus, such as Home of Seafood in Joo Chiat and Segar Village, but we have not verified their certification. Our own kitchen is not Halal-certified. See the halal page. ## Sources - HungryGoWhere, 12 spots for crab bee hoon in Singapore (1 Jun 2026, modified 11 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Eatbook, crab bee hoon round-up of 10 places (10 May 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Wikipedia, Crab bee hoon (modified 23 Aug 2026) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crab_bee_hoon) - Her World, crab delivery services in Singapore (updated 24 Jun 2024) (https://www.herworld.com/life/foodanddrink/crab-delivery-services-singapore) - Eatbook, Sin Huat Eating House (2 Nov 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/sin-huat-eating-house/) - Eatbook, Michelin Bib Gourmand 2026 (28 Jul 2026) (https://eatbook.sg/michelin-bib-gourmand-2026/) - 8 Crabs product page (modified 2 Jul 2026) (https://www.8crabs.com/shop/signature-crab-bee-hoon-soup/) --- # The story behind Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/story/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** Chef Don Lim founded Don Pie and co-founded Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab, where the crab bee hoon soup is cooked today under the DonChef name. The kitchen says the crab dishes began as family cooking in the early 2000s and went on the menu when customers asked. The kitchen has served from 39 Tyrwhitt Road since 2021. ## The short version Chef Don Lim founded Don Pie, and he co-founded Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab. The kitchen is known for its chicken pies and for its crab bee hoon soup, and the two have always shared one brand. This page tells the crab half of that story. The pie half is told elsewhere, and we point to it below. ## A timeline, with years hedged where sources differ | When | What happened | |---|---| | 1983 | Chef Don Lim creates the original chicken pie recipe, which he dates to a staff cafeteria. | | 2000 | The first Don Pie shop opens at Far East Square, later a restaurant opposite at China Square Central. | | Early 2000s | In the words of the kitchen's menu, its head chef at DON begins making crab dishes for his family, and customers persuade him to put them on the menu. | | About 2014 to 2015 | A Don Signature Crab stall opens in a coffee shop at Blk 206 Toa Payoh North. The kitchen says 2014; bloggers say March 2015. | | Late 2019 | Don's Pie & Cake opens at Toa Payoh North Food Centre II (1008A). | | 2021 | The kitchen opens at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, Jalan Besar, with Chef Don Lim's nephew. | | 2022 and 2023 | Food writers review the new restaurant and its crab bee hoon; several posts are partnership posts, which we mark in [reviews and press](https://donsignaturecrab.com/reviews-and-press/). | | October 2026 | Full crab range at Tyrwhitt Road; limited range (Soup and Laksa) at AMK Hub. | ## How the crab began The kitchen's menu introduces its crab section with this account: in the early 2000s its head chef at DON began crafting crab dishes for his family, and it was not long before customers persuaded him to feature them on the menu. The kitchen's home page repeats the idea: the dishes were created for family, and were sold because of high demand. That makes the crab bee hoon soup a home dish that became a menu item, not a dish invented for a restaurant. We cannot give you a date for the first sale. We say "the early 2000s", as the kitchen does, and leave it there. ## Toa Payoh, and where it went Chef Don Lim ran a Don Signature Crab stall in a Toa Payoh North coffee shop, and later brought his chicken pies back at a Toa Payoh North food centre. Both stalls belong to the past. [Where the Toa Payoh stall went](https://donsignaturecrab.com/don-signature-crab-toa-payoh/) explains why old listings still show them. For the longer account of those years in Chef Don Lim's own words, see [the Toa Payoh years at originaldon.com](https://originaldon.com/story/toa-payoh-years/), and for the dated pie-and-crab timeline, [what happened to Don Pie](https://donpies.com/what-happened-to-don-pie/). ## Tyrwhitt Road In 2021 the kitchen opened at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, with Chef Don Lim's nephew helping to revive the business. The restaurant is the only place that serves the whole crab range. The kitchen also runs four takeaway kiosks, at AMK Hub, Wisma Atria, White Sands and Tiong Bahru Plaza. Only the AMK Hub kiosk sells crab, and only two dishes. ## The names, plainly The kitchen cooks and bakes under the DonChef name today. DonChef's Original Chicken Pie follows the recipe Chef Don Lim created in 1983, and the crab dishes are DonChef dishes. Chef Don Lim still appears at the kitchen's events. For the heritage of the pies, see [singaporepies.com](https://www.singaporepies.com/our-story/). ## What we do not say We do not state a year count for the kitchen. We do not claim any award for the crab dishes. We do not describe other operators. We do not claim to be the first crab bee hoon in Singapore: Wikipedia credits Sin Huat Eating House with the dish, as [what is crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/what-is-crab-bee-hoon/) explains. ## Questions people ask ### Who is DonChef? DonChef is the name Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab cooks and bakes under today. Every dish that leaves the kitchen is a DonChef dish, made in a kitchen co-founded by Chef Don Lim, who created the original chicken pie recipe in 1983. ### Is there still a Toa Payoh outlet? No. The Toa Payoh North stalls are part of the history. See where the Toa Payoh stall went. ### Does Chef Don Lim still appear at the kitchen? Chef Don Lim still appears at the kitchen's events. ## Sources - Kitchen about page (https://chickenpie.sg/about-us/) - Kitchen menu PDF, 28 Feb 2026 (section introduction) (https://a.chickenpie.sg/menu/menu_web-2026-02-28-v1.pdf) - Kitchen home page (https://chickenpie.sg/) --- # Don Signature Crab in Toa Payoh: where it went URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/don-signature-crab-toa-payoh/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** There is no Don Signature Crab outlet in Toa Payoh today. A coffee-shop crab stall at Blk 206 Toa Payoh North opened around 2014 to 2015, and Chef Don Lim later sold pies at Toa Payoh North Food Centre II (1008A). The crab is now cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road, with a limited crab range at the AMK Hub kiosk, three MRT stops north of Toa Payoh. ## The plain answer There is no Don Signature Crab outlet in Toa Payoh today. If a search result, a map listing or an old list shows one, it is out of date. The Toa Payoh chapter of the story is real, and it has ended. The crab is cooked at 39 Tyrwhitt Road in Jalan Besar, and the AMK Hub kiosk carries a limited crab range for takeaway. ## What the Toa Payoh stalls were Chef Don Lim ran two things in Toa Payoh North between about 2014 and 2021. - **A Don Signature Crab coffee-shop stall at Blk 206 Toa Payoh North**, selling crab bee hoon, which opened around 2014 to 2015. The kitchen's own account says 2014, and bloggers date it to March 2015, so we write "about 2014 to 2015". - **Don's Pie & Cake at Toa Payoh North Food Centre II (1008A)**, selling his chicken pies, from late 2019 until he opened at Tyrwhitt Road in 2021. Both have closed. We do not say more about the reasons, because we do not have a source for them and will not guess. [Our story](https://donsignaturecrab.com/story/) puts them in the timeline. ## Why old listings still show Toa Payoh Several places still show the old stall. - **SethLui's list** of 15 crab bee hoon places (first published 24 March 2016, with a modified date of 15 September 2026) still lists "Don Signature Crab" at "Block 206 Toa Payoh North, #01-1197" for "$20". That entry describes the 2016 stall, not today. - **A listing for 1008A Toa Payoh North Food Centre II**, with opening hours and a phone number, appeared in a search for crab bee hoon in Toa Payoh on 8 October 2026. It is a historic listing. - **Tripadvisor** and some directories attach the kitchen to Toa Payoh West or to Lavender, which are also stale. - **Eatbook's 2017 review** (updated 9 February 2022) has a title that mentions Tyrwhitt Road but describes the Toa Payoh hawker-centre stall at $25. Do not go to Toa Payoh expecting crab. We would rather you reach a bowl than a closed shutter. ## Where to go instead | From Toa Payoh | Where | What you get | |---|---|---| | North on the North-South Line, three stops | AMK Hub kiosk, #B2-44 | Takeaway Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon | | Central, by MRT | 39 Tyrwhitt Road, Jalan Besar | Full crab range, dine-in | For the kiosk, read [crab bee hoon at AMK Hub](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-ang-mo-kio/). For the restaurant, read [hours and directions](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). If you want a walking route and delivery details from Toa Payoh, donpies.com wrote [step-by-step MRT routes from Toa Payoh](https://donpies.com/toa-payoh/how-to-get-a-don-pie-from-toa-payoh/), and states plainly that [there is no Don Pie in Toa Payoh now](https://donpies.com/toa-payoh/is-there-a-don-pie-in-toa-payoh/). ## Prices then and now The Toa Payoh stall's prices are history. A 2017 list showed $20 for the soup, and Eatbook reported $25 for the cheese and laksa crab bee hoon in April 2017. As of October 2026 our Regular is $39.80. [The dated price guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/) lists the steps in between and explains why we do not mix old and new figures. ## Questions people ask ### Why does a search still show Don Signature Crab in Toa Payoh? Some directories and round-ups kept the old entries. SethLui's list, first published in 2016 and modified in September 2026, still shows the Blk 206 stall at $20, and a directory listing for 1008A Toa Payoh North appeared in search on 8 October 2026. ### Where is the nearest crab to Toa Payoh? The AMK Hub kiosk at #B2-44 sells Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon for takeaway. It is three MRT stops north of Toa Payoh on the North-South Line. The full range is at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. ### Were the old prices $20? A 2017 list showed $20 for the Toa Payoh stall's crab bee hoon, and Eatbook (4 April 2017) reported $25 for the cheese and laksa versions. Those prices are history. As of October 2026 our Regular is $39.80. ### Will there be a Toa Payoh outlet again? We have no announcement to make. There is no Toa Payoh outlet today. ## Sources - SethLui, crab bee hoon list of 15 places (first published 24 Mar 2016, modified 15 Sep 2026) (https://sethlui.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Eatbook, Don Signature Crab review (4 Apr 2017, updated 9 Feb 2022) (https://eatbook.sg/don-signature-crab/) - Kitchen home page and about page (https://chickenpie.sg/about-us/) --- # Crab bee hoon questions, answered URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/faq/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** These eighteen answers cover the questions people ask most about our crab bee hoon: halal status, cooking wine, delivery, sizes, price, parking, pets, Toa Payoh and the Mellben spelling. Three (SethLui, Miss Tam Chiak, ieatishootipost) were partnership or hosted posts in 2022 and 2023, which we mark. The others are editorial pieces or independent reviews. We give no star average and do not reproduce the customer reviews on the kitchen's own product pages. ## How we list coverage We list every article we found that discusses our crab bee hoon, with its date, and we say whether the kitchen worked with the writer. We quote no star ratings, and we do not pick only the kind words. Some of the older articles describe prices and places that have changed, and we note that too. ## The table | Date | Outlet | What it says about the crab | Disclosure | |---|---|---|---| | 4 Apr 2017 (updated 9 Feb 2022) | Eatbook | Reviews the Toa Payoh stall: cheese and laksa crab bee hoon at $25. The Tasting Table piece is by Luna Regina. ## Where the articles disagree with us A few details in these articles are out of date or differ from what the kitchen says now. - **Prices.** The 2022 and 2023 figures are lower than today's. As of October 2026 a Regular is $39.80. [The price guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/crab-bee-hoon-price-singapore/) lists them with dates. - **Opening year.** HungryGoWhere says the kitchen "opened around 2022". We avoid giving an opening year for the restaurant, and say only that it has served from Tyrwhitt Road since 2021. - **From $39.80.** HungryGoWhere's "from S$39.80" for the cheese crab is not supported by the kitchen, which says the Cheese Crab starts at Medium. See [cheese crab bee hoon](https://donsignaturecrab.com/cheese-crab-bee-hoon/). - **Phone and hours.** One 2023 list prints a phone number that does not match the kitchen's hotline, and a daily 10am to 9pm schedule that does not cover the Friday and Saturday closing time. Use [our hours and hotline](https://donsignaturecrab.com/visit/). - **Recipe age.** Tasting Table calls the pie recipe 39 years old, repeating 2022 arithmetic. We avoid year counts. ## Reviews on the kitchen's own pages The kitchen's product pages carry customer reviews, and its about page says it is based on 840 reviews on Google Maps, with no average shown. These are the kitchen's own selection and a count, not an independent rating. We do not reproduce them and we do not use rating markup on this site. ## What we could not find We found no Michelin Guide listing for this kitchen. According to Eatbook, it is not in the Bib Gourmand 2026 list announced on 28 July 2026. We did not find a crab bee hoon review from Daniel Food Diary, and DFD's 2024 zi char list does not include us. We say this because it is true, not because it matters to our crab. ## Want to compare? [Our disclosed guide](https://donsignaturecrab.com/best-crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) lists 15 crab bee hoon places alphabetically with sources and dates, ourselves included, and says who wrote it. If a published article about our crab is missing here, email hello@chickenpie.sg and we will add it. ## Questions people ask ### Do you show a star rating? No. We do not publish a star average or rating markup. The kitchen's own product pages carry customer reviews, which are the kitchen's own and a small sample, so we do not total them. ### Which of these were paid or partnership posts? SethLui (16 December 2022) said it was brought in partnership with the kitchen. Miss Tam Chiak (21 December 2022) was brought by the kitchen. ieatishootipost (20 April 2023) was written in partnership with the kitchen. The others did not carry such a note. ### Has the crab bee hoon won an award? We do not claim any award for the crab dishes. We found no Michelin Guide listing for the kitchen, and it is not on the Bib Gourmand 2026 list of 28 July 2026, according to Eatbook. ## Sources - Eatbook, Don Signature Crab (4 Apr 2017, updated 9 Feb 2022) (https://eatbook.sg/don-signature-crab/) - SethLui (16 Dec 2022) (https://sethlui.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab-singapore/) - Miss Tam Chiak (21 Dec 2022, updated 23 Dec 2022) (https://www.misstamchiak.com/chicken-pie-kitchen-don-signature-crab/) - ieatishootipost (20 Apr 2023) (https://ieatishootipost.sg/chicken-pie-kitchen-dons-signature-crab-bee-hoon-the-don-is-back/) - Eatbook, crab bee hoon round-up of 10 places (10 May 2023) (https://eatbook.sg/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) - Tasting Table (17 Jun 2025) (https://www.tastingtable.com/1885118/chicken-pot-pie-restaurant-singapore/) - HungryGoWhere (1 Jun 2026, modified 11 Jun 2026) (https://hungrygowhere.com/what-to-eat/crab-bee-hoon-singapore/) --- # About this site and how to contact the kitchen URL: https://donsignaturecrab.com/about-this-site/ Last updated: October 2026 **Quick answer:** donsignaturecrab.com is published by Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab (Chicken Pie Pte.
