- Sources and dates. Each row cites where the fact came from and when. We use three round-ups (HungryGoWhere in June 2026, Eatbook in May 2023, Her World, updated June 2024), the places’ own pages where we have read them, and Wikipedia.
- We list ourselves like anyone else. Our row uses our own printed menu and carries the same columns.
- We say what we have not done. We have not tested any of these places for this guide. We have not confirmed current prices with them.
- Corrections. If something is wrong, tell us, and we will correct it, including facts about our own kitchen.

What the table cannot tell you
Price. Most places do not publish a fixed price. HungryGoWhere printed “seasonal price” or “market price” for most of its entries in June 2026, and the places that do print figures often quote them per kilogram. Our fixed-size bowls begin at $39.80 as of October 2026, which is a different way of buying crab. See the dated price guide.
Soup or dry. The round-ups describe both. If you are not sure which you want, soup or dry crab bee hoon explains the choice without pointing you at anyone.
Delivery. Most entries do not say, and we marked those “not confirmed by us”. Two appear in a Her World delivery round-up. One, 8 Crabs, is built around delivery. For our own delivery rules, read crab bee hoon delivery, which recommends pickup for hot soup.
Halal. Eatbook’s list marked individual entries as not halal-certified eateries in 2023. For halal options, round-ups named Home of Seafood (1 Joo Chiat Place, claypot bee hoon crab) and Segar Village, and we have not checked their certification. Check the MUIS directory. We are not Halal-certified: no pork, no lard, and the soup is cooked with cooking wine.
Places people ask about that we did not list
- Jumbo Seafood. People search for “jumbo crab bee hoon”, but no crab bee hoon round-up we opened lists it, and the sources we saw describe its black pepper and chilli crab. We list nothing without a source.
- Ban Leong Wah Hoe. A zi char restaurant in Casuarina Road that the sources we read describe for crab in general, with chilli crab in particular. We found no crab bee hoon mention in them.
- Hai Kee. We could not tie this name to crab bee hoon in any round-up or search.

Stale listings
Some round-ups still show an old entry for ours. SethLui’s list (first published 2016, modified September 2026) shows the Toa Payoh stall at “$20” and a Block 206 address, which belong to a stall that has closed. Why is this guide written by a restaurant on the list?
Because people search for crab bee hoon places and many existing lists are old, per-kg and short on dates. We chose to write one openly and say who wrote it. We list ourselves alphabetically, like anyone else, and we do not rank.
Have you eaten at all these places?
We have not tested any of them for this guide. Every fact comes from a cited source with its date. Where we have no source, the table says so.
How do I ask for a correction?

Which listed places are halal?
We cannot certify other places. Published round-ups name a few with halal menus, such as Home of Seafood in Joo Chiat and Segar Village, but we have not verified their certification. Our own kitchen is not Halal-certified. See the halal page.
