Is the crab bee hoon halal?
No. Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab is not Halal-certified by MUIS, and we do not claim that any of our products are Halal. No pork, no lard, but the soup is cooked with cooking wine and we serve alcohol at the flagship. Is it halal.
Is there alcohol in the soup?
The soup is cooked with cooking wine and herbs such as ginger, yam and Angelica root (Dang Gui). What is in the soup.
Can pregnant women or children eat the soup?
The kitchen says it has children and pregnant customers who enjoy it, and advises asking your doctor or gynaecologist. We make no health claims. Dang Gui in crab soup.

How big is a Regular?
Printed at 350g to 400g and sold as a one-person portion. The kitchen has not said whether that is live or cooked weight. Sizes and portions.
How far ahead do I order?
At least a day ahead online for whole-crab dishes; same-day availability at the counter depends on the day's crab. Seafood sets need three hours. How to order.
Do you deliver crab bee hoon?
Yes, through third-party drivers, with a fee by distance. The ordering site recommends pickup because delivery times vary. Delivery.
Which outlets sell crab?
The full range is at 39 Tyrwhitt Road. The AMK Hub kiosk sells Crab Bee Hoon Soup and Crab Laksa Bee Hoon for takeaway. The other three kiosks sell pies only. Takeaway.
What are your opening hours?
Sunday to Thursday 10am to 9pm, last order 8.30pm. Fridays, Saturdays and public holiday eves 10am to 10.30pm, last order 10pm. Open on public holidays. Hours.
Is there parking at Tyrwhitt Road?
The kitchen says there are 15 lots in front and more than 100 lots at Jalan Besar Stadium opposite. Directions.
Can I bring my dog?
The flagship is pet-friendly indoors, with pet and non-pet tables on the booking page. Pet-friendly dining.
Do I need to reserve?
Walk-ins are subject to availability. Reserve on weekends and public holidays, and pre-order the crab, because a reservation holds the table and not the crab. Reservations.
Is there a minimum order or a group menu?
We have not found a published minimum for crab dishes. The VIP room seats up to 14. Group dining.
What is the difference between the soup and the black pepper crab?
The soup is a milky herbal broth. The black pepper crab is stir-fried dry. Soup or dry.
How many calories are in it?
The kitchen has not published figures, so we do not give one. Calories.
Is there a Toa Payoh outlet?
No. The Toa Payoh stalls have closed. Where it went.
Who is DonChef?
DonChef is the name Chicken Pie Kitchen & Don Signature Crab cooks and bakes under today. Every dish that leaves the kitchen is a DonChef dish, made in a kitchen co-founded by Chef Don Lim, who created the original chicken pie recipe in 1983. Our story.
Is it Mellben or Melben?
